The bar was pretty packed by the time Harley arrived. She'd worked a long day and hadn't planned on going out, but she'd got bored sitting around her apartment. Besides, she liked this bar. It was low-key, the drinks weren't crazy expensive, and it had pool tables. She was in the mood for a game.
Duck was always good company for pool, but since he was still getting over his cold he'd begged off when Harley had called him to see if he wanted to come with. She was cool on her own, though. She nudged up between two guys at the crowded bar and ordered a beer when the bartender got to her. When she looked over and saw a couple finishing up at one of the pool tables, she took her beer over to it before anyone else could claim it. After setting the bottle on a side table, she began to rack up the balls.
