Drew's had a hankering for some good Italian food for a while, which was surprisingly easy to find in an area where everything is Tex-Mex (or so it seemed to his jaundiced eye). He'd asked Jake and Star to invite Neve and Nereida while he got hold of Blaise and also asked Jake's parents to join them.
When he called for reservations, he had made sure things would be easy for Jake and he was assured that there was nothing to worry about. They all piled into one car to make it easier and arranged to meet the others at the restaurant.
Stepping into the Cucina was like walking into a retaurant in Rome (and he had been there, so he could tell) and were met by Luigi and Maria who were effusive in their greetings. It was moderately busy, but not overly so which was good as far as Drew was concerned. Soon they were settled and had drinks ordered while waiting for the rest of the guests to arrive.
