RP: Jaunt by the bookstore

Elliot was not usually a guy who found any kind of comfort in shopping. He hadn’t really intended to do actual shopping in the first place today, but he’d wanted a new book to read, and he’d been so scatter brained the other day grocery shopping that he’d forgotten to pick up milk and a couple of other staples. He felt stupid for not being as organized and on top of things as he usually was.
So to the book store first it was. He knew some of what he was looking for, or a general idea at least. Not so much for himself but he figured he’d pick up stuff for other people while he was here. He’d been thinking of things to get for Belle lately to cheer her up or at least help her out with everything, and from there he’d thought of what he might could get Fi, and from Fi he’d thought maybe he should get something for Derrick, because this had to be stressful for his brother’s significant other too, right? And he should get something for Carrie as well, for being such a good girlfriend and so understanding of him lately. And for Nellie, for calling him in the middle of the night sometimes when he couldn’t sleep and for generally just putting up with him long distance.
He still didn’t know what to get for his girls, but for Fisher he knew a good starting point, and that was this bookstore. He trawled through the sci-fi/fantasy section, eyes skimming the shelves for a familiar author’s name.
