Maureen poked her head out of the backroom again, eyes on the latest customer and trying hard to ignore her co-workers laughter. He was, as Layla would say, smokin' hot and she had nearly swallowed her tongue when she had popped out to the front to deliver a platter of cinnarolls. He struck quite the figure and she hadn't ever felt that instant attraction to someone before.
She glared when a pad and pen was pushed into her hands and then sighed. What could it hurt to take his order anyway? It's not like it was anything important. Huffing in the general direction of the laughter, she made her way to the man's table, hastily wiping the flour off of her hands and face before greeting him. "Hi, welcome to Sunshine. I'm Maureen and I'll be your waitress today. What can we get started for you?"
