Date: July 27, 2011 Characters: Shosh Wise, Jase Travis Location: Jase's House Status: Private Summary: Jase and Shosh have their first date. Completion: Complete
Shosh had to remind herself to breathe when Jase opened the door. God, he looked good, and she wanted to smack herself when her knees went a little weak just over the way he seemed to have taken to using her full name. "Jase, are you making that a habit?" She asked before she could stop herself. Fuck, and now she was blushing over the compliment. "Thank you, and the dress is Sloane's fault." Shosh replied as she slipped into the house, letting her gaze travel over Jase. "You look pretty fucking great yourself, by the way."
Her eyes landed on his hand encircling her wrist, and her mind jumped to what his hand would feel like touching other areas. She flushed at the thought as Jase tugged her towards him, Shosh went to respond wondering what he just had to do. But the question died on her lips as he kissed her. "Mmm. Making a habit of this as well?" She teased as he broke the kiss. "God, you're addictive." The words were out of her mouth before she could think about them. Shosh didn't say anything else as his hand fell to her waist and he guided her towards the kitchen.
"Ad' was probably just afraid you'd end up giving us both food poisoning." Shosh remarked with a teasing smirk. She was impressed, God, more than impressed. Never once had she had a guy make dinner for her. "Excited? Why Jason, were you excited over a date with little old me?" She was not going to admit that she kind of loved the fact that he was just about as excited as she was. Fuck, when had she warmed to the idea of dating? It was official, Jase had turned her into a silly girl.
Jase raised an eyebrow, grinning a little. "I don't know. Do you like it or not, Shoshana?" That flush was gorgeous and he wanted to make her flush like that all the way down her body. "Well, I'll need to remember to complement Sloane on her excellent fashion sense," he murmured lightly, shutting the door behind her.
"Definitely yes. A habit I don't think I'm going to want to break anytime soon," he told her, dipping his head to kiss her again. "You're pretty addictive yourself." She was, he never wanted to stop kissing her, but God, they should be taking this slow, not fast. That dress though. It was made to be peeled off and left on the floor of a bedroom somewhere.
"I can cook," he protested, laughing a little. He could too. He wasn't great at it, but he had been without Ad' for awhile when she was in Seattle and he had moved back to Texas. It had forced him to learn at least the basics. He grinned, teasing back. "Me? No, not at all. I most definitely did not ask Adrienne three times which shirt looked best on me." He paused, smirking a little. "Of course, that was mostly to distract her from what I was doing to her overnight bag."
Shosh kind of loved the way his entire face lit up with that little grin, and she couldn’t ignore the little shiver that ran through her at his question and the way he said her name.“God knows why, but I do.” She murmured before laughing softly. “Don’t encourage her.” Her little girl already thought her Mama was life sized Barbie doll, she didn’t need Jase encouraging that thought.
She made a soft noise as he kissed her again. How was it he could manage to catch her off guard with just a kiss? “Mmm. Think I’m rather fond of this habit.” She murmured as they broke the kiss. “Fuck, now I know you have to be crazy.” He had to be, it wasn’t like she was a catch so it was the only way she could explain this. No matter how much just kissing him made her head spin and made her want more, she had to think they should be taking things slow. But the way he looked at her and the things just kissing him did to her made her want to do anything but take things slow.
“Oh, did I hit a nerve?” She teased lightly, though she had complete faith that Jase could actually cook. In all seriousness she was extremely flattered that he had gone through all the effort to cook for her, not many guys would, especially not on a first date. Her eyes lit up at the admission that he had been looking forward to this, and she took in his appearance again; noticing the way his shirt pulled over his broad shoulders and left little to the imagination clinging to his muscular arms. God, the shirt had been a good choice, and now she couldn’t keep her mind from wondering what he looked like underneath that shirt. “Not at all?” She quirked an eyebrow as she brought her gaze back up to meet his, taking a step towards him she reached out to tug at the top button on his shirt. “This shirt looks good on you. But I’m thinking you’d look better without it.” She smirked, tilting her head at the last comment. “Jase what did you do?”
"Shoshana," Jase said again when she admitted to liking how he said her name. He kept his eyes on hers, unable to look away. "God, you're amazing," he couldn't stop himself from saying the words as he looked at her before giving himself a mental shake. "Ah, why not?" He gave her a disappointed look. "You don't think I could cultivate her into a bridal consultant in ten or eleven years?"
He groaned at her small hum, pulling himself back from the edge of saying 'screw dinner' and taking her upstairs. "Crazy for being addicted to your taste?" he asked, voice husky. "Pretty sure it's the least crazy thing I could be into it."
"Nope," he answered in response to her teasing, grinning brightly and enjoying their easy banter. He let his own gaze slide over her curves when hers dipped to his body, smirking slightly. "Like what you see then?" he murmured, letting his hands come up to capture hers as she played with the buttons. "You could take it off," he suggested softly, fighting back a wave of arousal at the thought of her hands undressing him, of his peeling that dress off. He blinked, focusing back in on the conversation. "Nothing much... just... helped her pack a little." He gave an innocent smile. "And I might have shopped a little first. Every girl appreciates nice lingerie, right?"
Shosh couldn't help the way she shivered or stop the goose bumps from appearing on her arms at the way Jase said her name. God, she was turning into a thirteen year old girl, acting silly over a guy like this. Shaking her head, she caught his gaze. "I'm really not. Your judgment is just clouded by the vast expanse of skin this dress reveals." Shosh quipped, though her knees went weak in reaction to his words. She wasn't amazing, really she wasn't. "Not I think you could..." Pausing she bit her lip. "But are you planning on being around in ten or eleven years when she's rabidly trying to sell me on dresses?"
She smirked at his groan, it was heady knowing she had that effect on Jase. And there he was saying things that made her blush again, and really Shosh couldn't remember a single time when any one person made her blush this much. "Yes it does, Crazy man." She caught herself before she called him her Crazy Man. They weren't that place in their relationship and may never be.
Fuck, she loved that grin and could feel his gaze on her as she moved towards him. That fact sent a thrill down her spine, sure she had guys look at her that way before, but none of them had meant anything to her, while Jase...he could mean something to her, he did mean something to her. "Depends, I really haven't seen enough to judge fairly." She whispered, sighing softly as his hands came up to cover hers. God, even just that little gesture and touch made Shosh dizzy. "I could...." She purred, fingers undoing the first few buttons on his shirt. Shosh was pushing her limits, trying to see just how far Jase would let her get with the buttons before he stopped her, if he stopped her. "Right, I'm sure Ad' appreciated your help." Shosh commented, fingers still working working on the buttons of his shirt as she spoke. "Do they? Funny, I always just prefer to sleep naked." She brought her gaze up to meet his, interested to see what his reaction might be to her comment.
Her response was... delicious, Jase decided, letting his hand come up to play with the ends of her hair. "Only slightly clouded. Thought you were amazing since I met you," he murmured before pausing himself. Promising that he would be around then was monumental. "I can't promise that I will be, but I can promise that I want to be," he told her, tone serious.
He dipped his head again, giving in to the urge to kiss that smirk off of her lips. "Call me crazy then," he whispered against her mouth, grinning into the kiss.
"Mmmm, no?" Having her touch him was a heady feeling and he was becoming dizzy as her fingers brushed again st his chest as she unbuttoned his shirt. His own fingers curled in her hair, letting her do as she pleased. "I'm sure I will hear about it tomorrow from her," he said, trying to focus on their conversation. He swallowed hard at her cheeky comment, picturing their bodies entangled around each other. "Shoshana," he breathed, hands slipping out of her hair to her hips, tugging them together. "You, my dear, are a minx."
How did he manage to do that? With just one comment he could completely throw her off balance. Shosh smiled slightly, flushing as she spoke. "Did you now? Because I seem to remember you were seeing someone the first time we met. Also, apparently you do make a habit out of dating customers." She was remembering their first conversation back when she had been dress shopping at the Affair. Shosh cursed herself though, because fuck, why did she have to bring up Nereida. "Mmm. l like that promise." Less of a chance of heartbreak if Jase wised up and realized she was likely to hurt him.
She made a soft happy noise as Jase kissed her again. "Crazy man." she murmured against his lips. Jase really was crazy for falling for her, but Shosh was going to selfish and let him be crazy.
"No." Her hands continued to work on the buttons of his shirt, her fingers brushing against his chest as as his came up to thread into her hair. Jase wasn't stopping her and God, Shosh was getting a little dizzy because of that fact. "I'm sure you will." she replied quietly. She smirked at the reaction her comment got, and could only wonder what it was he was thinking about now. "Jason." she whispered, biting back a small moan as his hands settled on her hips as he tugged her close to him. "Mmm. Maybe I am." She breathed, leaning forward to whisper in his ear as she finished undoing his shirt, hands sliding up his chest to push the shirt off his shoulders before pulling it off. "Are we going to make it to dinner?" Shosh purred, her mouth a hair's-breadth from his ear.
"Two is not a habit," Jase informed her, voice teasing. And God, thinking back to their first meeting was a kick. He remembered vaguely thinking that she had great legs and a killer body, even if he had been googly-eyed over Nereida still.
With her flush against him, Jase was quickly losing all rational thought. He backed her up carefully until she was braced against the wall and dropped his mouth to her neck, nipping and sucking on it lightly. "Mmm? Maybe," he answered, distracted by the small spot he found that made her moan and go weak against him. He thrust against her lightly, letting her feel his arousal against her thigh. "You. You are incredible," he murmured, edging the strap of her dress off of her shoulder and following the path it took with his tongue.
"No you would have to have nineteen more to make it a habit." Shosh remarked dryly, pulling a face at the thought of being only the second of a string of girls. "And if there's any question, I'd prefer you not make it a habit." Sure this was there first date, but she would prefer she not just be a notch on a bedpost, though she had been known to do that herself on occasion, a lot of occasions actually.
God, they weren't making it to dinner, not if Jase continued doing that to her neck. The wall was cool against her back, and Shosh couldn't stop the low moan that escaped her. Fuck, She didn't want to think how incredibly long it had been since any guy had given her this much attention, and Jase, God, he was good at this. When he found that little spot on her neck, the one that always made her moan and go weak, she wasn't embarrassed that she had to hold onto him to find her balance. "Fuck, don't think that's a maybe." She murmured as she felt him against her hip. "No I'm not, the hormones are talking." Shosh quipped, although she would love to think that Jase thought she was incredible, it was easier to think he wasn't thinking with his upstairs brain right now. She moaned and shivered as Jase pushed the strap of her dress off her shoulder, losing her train of thought as his tongue moved over her skin. Yeah, they definitely weren't making it to dinner if Jase kept up with this. And Shosh was sure the way her hand slid down his body to palm him through his jeans wasn't helping the matter any.
"Can you be my habit?" Jase asked cheekily, grinning at her unabashedly. "I think I like that option best." Shosh kept him on his toes, kept him thinking hard to be a step ahead of her. Hell, who was he kidding, to at least be only one step behind.
Jase groaned at her reaction to him, trying desperately to get his own hormones under control. He nuzzled her soft spot again. "Fuck, you make me feel like a teenager again, Shoshana," he whispered against her skin. "And no." He tugged back a little when her words penetrated. "Not just hormones." He took a breath, groaning again as her hands skimmed his body. "Fuck." He breathed out hard, firmly bringing his his hands up her arms, tugging her strap back up slowly, his fingers trailing against her soft, soft skin.
He brought their mouths together again, softly, gently. "Mmm. Incredible, but I'll tell you that again later," he whispered against her lips before slowly pulling away. He shot her a crooked grin. "Dinner? I do believe that's what most first dates are supposed to start with. But we're not exactly the most typical people," he tacked on, waggling his eyebrows and hoping to startle a laugh out of her.
"That depends on how this night goes, City boy." Shosh quipped, smirking slightly. She wasn't under any illusions, right now this was infatuation, and until they got to know each other better she wasn't going to count on holding his attention. "Oh, do you? Well be on your best behavior and I just might let you pick that option." She teased, knowing she liked Jase, and god, the physical attraction was unbelievable, but for the first time in awhile she wanted to get to know who a guy was under that all, and that was kind of new for her.
Shosh made a soft noise as he whispered against her skin. "Fuck, you mean I've got time traveling abilities now? Turning you back into a teenager and shit like that." She didn't want to admit that he was doing the same to her, or making her act like a silly girl, but he was. She missed the contact when he moved away from her a little, and sighed softly at his words. "Well then, clearly you've got a few marbles loose in that head of yours." She countered, unwilling she was amazing or incredible or anything else like that, Jase didn't know her well enough to think those things, not yet anyway....he hadn't seen her worst traits yet. Shosh groaned softly as he pulled the strap of her dress back up, taking that as a signal that for the moment they weren't going further then that.
Part of her respected him for that though, that he wasn't just going to haul her ass off to bed before getting to know her better, and not just as Ad's friend or Sloane's Mama. "Not going to hold you to that." She replied honestly as he pulled back from the kiss, though she wouldn't mind hearing it again. "Well they sure as hell aren't supposed to start with groping in the kitchen like this." Shosh laughed, smirking when he pointed out they weren't typical people. "Fuck, think I'm the furthest thing from typical." She replied. "So, dinner now....." She paused, glancing at Jase. "And you should probably put your shirt back on." Although Shosh wouldn't complain, it would just be easier to focus if he wasn't half naked sitting across from her while they ate.
Jase snorted slightly at the nickname. Sometimes he worried that owning the shop made him seem like someone he wasn't. "City Boy?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow. "Just 'cause I'm not a cowboy doesn't make me no stinkin' City Boy." His mama would have laughed herself silly at the thought. He grinned at her playfully. "My best behavior? I might be able to manage that. For you." It wasn't because she was Ad's best friend or Sloane's Mama. There was something about Shosh that he just sorta clicked with.
"You've definitely got some sort of ability," Jase muttered under his breath, still fighting for his self control. Shosh deserved a little tenderness, in his opinion. He had a feeling she hadn't received a lot of it in her life. He kissed her neck again softly, nuzzling right below her earlobe before withdrawing completely, ignoring her statement about having a few marbles loose.
He shook his head a little, frowning at her. Even if this was all that they were and they never went further than this date and being friends, Shosh was still incredible in his mind. He'd just have to stick around and convince her of that, even if it was only in the capacity of Ad's cousin. "Incredible," he repeated evenly, his eyes on hers before laughing slightly. "I think you might be right. C'mon, Ad'll kill me if I completely ruin dinner." He looked around for his shirt, shooting her a mischievous look. "Aw, c'mon, y'know you like me half-naked." He was well aware of his physique, kept up from basketball and weight-lifting. He missed football, missed the feel of a good long game, but that was something he would always miss now. He spotted his shirt and tugged it on, asking, "So. In the essence of dinner, what can I get you to drink? Beer, water, wine?"
Shosh nodded, her face set in a mock-seriously look. "Yes, City Boy." She confirmed, smirking slightly. "You grew up in city, didn't you?" Shosh countered, and the nickname hadn't been meant as an insult, more as a fact. He was male, and as far as she knew he had been raised in the city. "Okay, okay. Not a City Boy." She finally relented, holding her hands up in the air and laughing as he said he would try and manage to be on his best behavior. "Oh, only might?"
"I should see if I can make money off of it." Shosh laughed, only catching some of his muttered comment. She was and would always be tough, and cracking comments and likely never believe she was incredible, that just wasn't her. She was confident yes, but not delusional, she knew her faults well. She hummed softly as he pressed another kiss to her neck, and fought back any kind of disappointment when he pulled away entirely.
She didn't like that frown, it made her uneasy and wonder why he was frowning. Though she figured it was likely something she said, because she was always saying something or other, but she wasn't going to ask what it was. She didn't argue the second time he called her 'Incredible', figuring that maybe it was her continued argument that she wasn't incredible that was upsetting him. "In your mind, maybe." So she couldn't keep herself from making some kind of comment. "Fuck, we can't have Ad' killing you." Not while Shosh was trying to figure out what Jase was to her. "I do, but it's not going to be conducive with me focusing on talking and dinner." Shosh replied honestly, let her gaze follow his actions as he tugged his shirt back on. She paused at his question on something to drink. "I'd love to say beer, but I feel like wine should be what I ask for." though she was more a beer girl then she was a wine one.
"Outskirts," Jase said, grinning. "Not quite country, not quite city," he amended, smirking at her. "So I suppose you're half right." He caught her hands, kissing the knuckles before letting them go and waggling his eyebrows at her. "And I suppose, for you, I can be a perfect gentleman."
He snorted at her words, shaking his head. "Think that type of ability might get you arrested if you try to make money off of it, Shoshana," he teased lightly. "But I'd be your best client if you tried."
Rolling his eyes, he let it go but made a promise to himself that if this worked out, he'd convince her that she really was incredible. He laughed slightly, shaking his head. "No, Ad' killing me would be a problem." He finished buttoning up his shirt before going to the bottle of wine. "Start with wine, finish with beer?" he offered, tossing her another smile as he poured them both glasses of wine before checking the sauce. "This is ready any time you want to eat," he added, handing her glass to her.
Her eyes landed on his hand encircling her wrist, and her mind jumped to what his hand would feel like touching other areas. She flushed at the thought as Jase tugged her towards him, Shosh went to respond wondering what he just had to do. But the question died on her lips as he kissed her. "Mmm.
