It had been a month since Charisma had talked to Maureen about being unsure of where things stood between her and Erick, but she still hadn't brought it up with him. But since all of their dates since then had been much the same as usual, Charisma knew that tonight she had to bring it up. They'd been dating long enough that she couldn't keep pretending that it was okay that he kept pushing her away, keeping her at arm's length.
Charisma slid out of her car and walked up to his door. She took a deep breath before knocking, trying to calm her nerves. She didn't know how tonight was going to go, and the last thing she wanted to do was hurt him. She didn't want to be the next 'Kathy' in his life, but she really knew that things couldn't keep going the way they had.
She knocked, then, and waited.
