He’d been trapped in his head for longer than he’d thought. It’d been April the last time he’d really interacted with anyone not his assistant, the writing team, or his family. He’d been to a few more shows for Madi, but he really hadn’t been able to connect with her after them. He wouldn’t have been much company either, as the music was helping drive the creative parts of his brain and his existence sort of narrowed to Story and just that.
After two weeks of no Facebook statuses, his sister had called him. Though as W.H. Auden had said once, “the way to read a fairy tale is to throw yourself in.” Blaise supposed that counted for when you were writing too. The only way he knew to write was to throw himself into it, body and soul. Still it wasn’t Spring anymore, but the beginnings of Summer, and he’d felt a little mixed about disappearing for so long.
Another quote came to mind, “Just living is not enough” said the butterfly fairy, "one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.” Hans Christian Andersen, and with that in mind, he’d cleaned up a little, shower, fresh clothes, no hat this time. He wanted to feel the sun on his head, warming him up. There was a park he’d passed several times and he thought he’d go wander in it a little today.
He hadn’t been there long when he had wandered across a welcome sight. Nora curled up by the trunk of one of the trees in the park, reading a book. “But, soft! what nymph is this?” He murmured softly as he moved closer.
