Piers followed the directions that Maureen had given him carefully, he had also stopped at Boston Market and picked up a full meal for at least four since he hadn't been sure if Charisma or Layla would be home. He had missed spending time with Maureen but a case had been keeping him very busy and sadly work sometimes had to come first. Thankfully, he had been able to stop by the diner a couple of times to say hi and steal a kiss or three. So far Dess didn't seem to mind that he was there more frequently than usual.
Carrying the bags and the tea carefully, Piers made his way up the walk and knocked on the door. This time he wasn't even late although she really wasn't expecting him to bring dinner. Hopefully she'd be hungry.
