People watching was probably a strange hobby. Devri was aware of this fact, but she enjoyed studying people, trying to guess at their stories, figure out what may have brought them to a certain place in life. When she got really bored or creative she would make up a story to correspond with a person. She couldn't pinpoint when she had taken up this hobby, but it was always her fall back when she couldn't think of anything else to do or needed to get out of the apartment for awhile.
She sat on a park bench with Moose and Rufus laying on the ground at her feet, Devri was watching a happy couple chit-chat about one hundred feet away from her, when her gaze drifted over towards a man with a young boy. Devri studied them for a moment, the man looking oddly familiar, until finally it clicked in her head where she had seen him before. Bradley Thomas, the fellow Minnesotan she had met at Starbucks awhile back. As she continued to watch them she figured the young boy must be his nephew, the one he had told her about.
In an action that was very unlike her, Devri stood up from the park bench, yanking on the two leashes connected to her dogs. She made her way towards Bradley, deciding that saying 'hi' might be nice. As she reached the pair, she smiled faintly, clearing her throat before speaking. "Ah, Hi, you probably don't remember me..."
