Courtney shrugged her shoulders with a smirk. "Perhaps..." she trailed off. It had been a little creepy at first, she would admit but over time -- it was as though she had a bodyguard with the way he was watching her at times. A bodyguard that she was immensely attracted to and who perhaps flirted more times than not. Which then lead to fantasies she'd rather not share just yet ( ... )

Graham just shook his head, smiling faintly. "Really, Cory?" He had a hard time believing she actually thought he had been lying to her. So it would appear they had returned to a bit of their old banter, which he didn't mind so much. Now he could admit that sitting in the bar watching her work was creepy, but he would probably never fess up to the jealous streak he had whenever another guy would have the nerve to flirt with her. He wasn't possessive, and honestly jealousy wasn't something he felt often. Which just made him come to the realization sooner that what he felt for Courtney was much more then just a passing interest ( ... )

Courtney gave him a soft grin. "Okay, not really no. I lost track of the number of times I caught you watching me or the number of times a man asked me if you were my big brother watching over me to make sure my virtue was protected or even a few women asking if you were spoken for," she responded. She would never admit to the envious or jealous feeling she got when women asked if he had been available. There may have been some of the women she had told that he was already spoken for. She never specifically said it was by her but that was the conclusion she was sure some came to ( ... )

Graham let a lopsided grin pull at the corners of his mouth. “Now, see that’s more like it. I did have a tendency to do it a lot, huh? But protectin’ your virtue wasn’t really on my mind, well maybe protectin’ it from the likes of them. And what did you tell those women who inquired about my availability?” He replied. He maybe had an idea s to what she may have told them, being none of the women every approached him. But he wanted to hear Courtney admit to it, which he was kind of on the fence about if she actually would or not.

“Oh, maybe just a bit.” He answered with a smirk. “Nope, there’s not a box involved, only a bow.” Quirking a eyebrow suggestively, he wondered what kind of retort Courtney would have to his reply ( ... )

"Just told them that you were spoken for," Courtney replied innocently enough, shrugging her shoulder nonchalantly. "May have told a couple that you had a jealous lover or some uncontrollable disease." That only happened on a couple of occasions when the woman got really persistent - as though Courtney had any say in what he did or didn't do at that point in time ( ... )

“Really, is that all you told them?” Graham was curious, really he wouldn’t put it past Courtney to give such a vague answer and let the woman make their own assumptions. He wondered though if Courtney had intentionally done that in hopes that they would assume that he was with her. “Jealous lover? Uncontrollable disease? Were you attempting to ruin my reputation so you could have me all to yourself?” He asked with a smirk.

Graham shook his head. “Nah, just how I’m attempting to get you. Is it working?” He half-joked, he really was serious about the attempting to get her part. God, with the way Courtney kept both look at him, and touching him, Graham decided that they were either going to have to go back inside the Hawthorne soon to avoid getting arrested for any actions that may follow, or he’d have to take Courtney home with him so they could continue this someplace more private ( ... )

Courtney looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Well, when it got particularly annoying, I told one persistent woman, very sarcastically mind you, that you and I were really swingers and were looking for a third if she was interested. She didn't take too kindly to it," she responded. "I was getting tired of these women coming up to me as though I had any dibs on you and asking if you were available. Otherwise, despite popular belief - I am usually professional when dealing with irritating people. Unless his name starts with a 'G' and ends with 'raham'." Courtney kept her eyebrows raised and smirked in amusement. "You really like to think so, don't you? I just let them assume whatever they wanted to assume ( ... )

Graham studied her for any sign that she may be joking. “That’s quite an imagination you have Cory.” He replied with a shake of his head. “Getting tired of the women? Or getting tired of people assuming we were together? I bring your unprofessionalism down on my own head; you’re cute when you’re annoyed.” Graham couldn’t keep the mischievous grin off of his face. “Honestly? Yes, I would like to think that.”

“Well, in that case maybe I need to find someone who will appreciate the attempt.” Graham teased. Knowing full well he wouldn’t go trying to find anyone else. Not a single woman would every compare to Courtney. If he had his choice he wouldn’t let her go, but he knew sooner or later he would have too - she still had a portion of her shift to work ( ... )

Courtney laughed out loud. "Mm, I do have quite the imagination," she mused with a grin. "Hmm, more of the women part," Courtney confessed. She leaned up and whispered in his ear, "maybe a part of me did only want you to myself and so said these things to scare them off." It was something she had considered.

"But no one as good as me," she teased. Courtney studied him silently and smiled gently. "Perhaps not but that's who you were and there's nothing to be ashamed of. We can't do anything about it now anyway, we can change the future." She had no preconceived notion of who he was. "I fell for you because of who you are and not some preconceived notion of who you are."

"Good point - I like to think the same with Brendon," Courtney said with a laugh. "God, who knows - that boy could burn something down if left to his own defenses for long." She rolled her eyes playfully with a smirk. "Plus, you still have a pizza in there."

Graham flashed a flirtatious grin. "I wonder what else that imagination of yours has thought up." he remarked with a laugh. "That's what I thought." Graham replied smugly. He couldn't help the full blown grin that took over his features as she admitted to wanting him all to herself. "Only a part of you? Clearly my appeal isn't as strong as I think it is if it was only a part of you." He was surprised with just how much Courtney was revealing to him about herself as they stood in the alley.

"Never. You beat them all hands down" he replied seriously. Graham tilted his head studying Courtney as she studied him. "Honestly I'm not really ashamed. More amazed that I wasted so much of my life living that way, and yes we can change the future." He wasn't the kind of person that lived with regrets; but if he had one it was that he hadn't realized sooner just how in love with Courtney he really was. "That's a relief, I don't think I can change to much, so you're getting me warts and all."

"We should never leave them in a room alone, god ( ... )

"You'll just have to wait and see, won't you?" Courtney responded with a smirk. She shook her head and laughed. "Hm, can't say it is." Courtney tilted her head and looked up at him, then shook her head. "Nope, just part of me," she teased. Courtney realized she was revealing a lot about herself to him, more than she may ever have before but surprisingly enough, she was okay with that ( ... )

"You Darlin', are a major tease." Graham drawled, an easy grin pulling at the corners of his mouth. "Well now, that's a shame." He shrugged and played off her teasing comment. "Maybe I should disappear for another six months, then maybe I'd have all of you." He joked with a grin ( ... )

Courtney laughed softly and just leaned up to kiss his cheek softly. "You already do," she responded, quirking her lips up with a grin. She didn't think she could go another six months without seeing him.

"Glad you do, darling," she answered with a smile. "I like you just the way you are as well." A smirk slipped on her features when he commented about how detrimental it would be for the worlds safety - or rather theirs - to never let Brendon and Shosh in the same room together.

They walked into the front of the Hawthorne and heard clapping start up. She rolled her eyes with a grin. Everyone clapping were bound to be the regulars who had known them for a long time. "They were waiting for this, weren't they?"

Graham smiled brightly at her words. "Good, 'cause you've had my heart for awhile now." He replied, glancing down at her, meeting her gaze with his own. He was positive he couldn't go six days without seeing Courtney, so six months was out of the question now.

"Ego and all?" he teased with a grin. "You know I think we're a good match, Cory." His words were genuine. Graham really did think they were a good match, she put up with all his crap and cared about him regardless of the various arrogant comments he might make out of habit.

He leveled an unamused look at the nearest bar regulars and he and Courtney re-entered to a round of applause. Though the look was only halfway threatening, what with the grin that plastered on his face it was hard to look truly threatening. "Oh, I'm sure they were. Probably had some kind of bet going on it as well."

Courtney smiled brilliantly at his words and looked into his eyes. She was happy. More happy than she can ever remember being for more than six months.

She laughed softly. "Ego and all," she responded, honestly. She paused, thinking over his words before nodding her head. "I think we are too, Graham."

Courtney looked around the bar and raised an eyebrow and a grin spread across her lips. "No doubt about that," she responded. "Wonder who won..."

Brendon chuckled and watched the new couple walk in. "And the infamous couple returns," he teased. "Congratulations. See she didn't kill you after all."

Graham grinned, knowing that the happiness he saw in her gaze was reflected in his own. He was probably the happiest he'd been in a long while, and it was all because of Courtney.

He smirked. "Good, 'cause I don't think the egos disappearing any time soon." He remarked with a laugh. "That's a relief, not sure what I would have done if you thought otherwise, Cory."

Graham shrugged, throwing a glare at one of the regulars who had the nerve to wolf whistle at them. "I'm sure we'll find out soon enough." He replied, curious as well as to who won the bet.

He shook his head and laughed at Brendon's comment. "Infamous couple, huh?" Graham still wasn't sure if he and Courtney were a couple. "And I didn't even need riot gear either." He remarked, flashing a grin in Brendon's direction.
