Brielle had gotten off work a little earlier to doublecheck that her apartment was all ready for Ariel to drop by tonight. And to make sure Boo hadn't gotten into one of his fiendish streaks and wrecked mass havoc while she was out. Which he hadn't, much to her relief. She had the radio playing in the kitchen as she picked up the last bits of clutter from last night and this morning and started the dishwasher before stopping to catch her breath, eying her home with a critical glance that finally melted away into satisfaction. Now all she had to wait for was Ariel herself, so she curled up on the sofa with a book to pass the time.
