The heat was still messed up in Tyler’s apartment. He had actually dropped Tigger off with a friend for the day because he hadn’t wanted to think about his puppy freezing to death while he was working all day and night. If it wasn’t fixed by tonight, he might have to arrange to sleep over with a friend. If Alex wasn’t planning to entertain after work, he could probably crash there if he whined and looked pitiful enough, but he’d wait to see how it went. It had been difficult to sleep last night when it was so cold that even several blankets and thick socks hadn’t warmed it up much. Of course, today he was sniffling a little and his throat was sore, but he refused to believe he was getting sick from sleeping in his own bed.
Fortunately, he and Aaron had made lunch plans, so he suggested going to Chuy’s, which wasn’t too far from the Metro Weekly offices. It hadn’t been open very long, but it had already become a favorite place of his for lunch. The spices would also, hopefully, open up his sinuses and stop the sniffling because Tyler did not get sick. He opened the door and let Aaron walk in first. “I think I’m hungry enough to eat that huge appetizer plate and an entrée. But my eyes are probably bigger than my stomach.”
