My church canceled services due to bad weather up in Upper, so I visited St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Delaware. This was my first time attending a Lutheran service. Some things were different then what I am used to in Episcopal or Methodist services- the confession of sin was the first part of the service proper, though they sung a hymn before beginning the liturgy. The pastor wore cassok-alb and stole, and the liturgy was almost entirely chanted or sung, both by the pastor and the congregation. Communion was with wafers and disposable communion cups of wine and grape juice. You had to fill out a card in order to commune, though all baptized Christians who believe in the real presence were welcomed to the alter.
