Rain!

It's raining! GLEE!

Just because it feels fitting..

The firmament has fallen and the clouds caress the sea
How they have lusted and longed for this day to come
Before, only able to gaze and breathe licentious windy sighs
Now lovers, like we.

The silver lining has torn and the clouds are unraveling
Sweet mother’s milk pouring from under the seams.
There are angels huddled, hiding under your bed
There’s turbulence in heaven.

The angels’ lungs have gotten soggy
And their wings are filled with water
There is turbulence in heaven
Though the seas are cold and sweet

Fish are swimming down the four-oh-five freeway
Looking outside, we see sharks swimming in the sky,
Our homes are aquariums, our cars: submarines.
There’s no Noah this time.

The beads of rain hit the glass-roof ocean
Thunder gets muffled as the lightning strikes
The current twisting and spreading across the ocean
Like lovers, like we.

We take off our seaweed clothes
And spread the water like thighs
Our bodies come together like lips
And they kiss.

As we lay naked on the ocean floor
We see traces of the homes we had before
There are Polaroids in the sea anemones
But photographs are just pictures
Of who we used to be.

We drown in each other
And so we grow gills
And swim in our sea
Of tears and semen
