Rikku
When the conference started, Rikku would have laid down 50-50 odds that someone was going to stab someone else by the end of it.
If you had suggested to her that people would be lingering at the end, as they packed up to leave -- that there would be informal conversations going on here and there, that some delegates would be having involved meetings with other delegates and didn't want to go home just yet? She would have assumed you were crazy.
Tuesday had changed everything. Tuesday had made everyone realize how precious, how precarious their situation was. Tuesday had made everyone actually want peace.
It was overwhelming. It was astonishing. It was ...
"I need a nap," Rikku announced, plopping her head on Yuna's shoulder.
... a little exhausting, now that the adrenaline-rush was wearing off.
Lulu
"A nap," Lulu agreed, "sounds perfect." She looked over at the packing delegates and sighed. "And a vacation, too. I think I might spend some time in the Monster Arena before heading off to Kilika next week."
Kilika Island was the one thing that hadn't really properly gotten resolved, these past few days; neither party was still quite willing to back off all the way. But they were talking again, which was a massive change for the better, and Lulu had agreed to go and help them work through their issues now that they were willing to listen to each other.
Rikku
"Kilika's next week?" Rikku asked, straightening up with a sigh. "Dammit. I was going to ..."
Take a vacation, herself. An extended one, in Gaia, until she absolutely, positively had to come home again.
She hadn't figured that would be next week.
"Okay," she said, shaking her head. "We're ... we're doing Kilika next?"
Saving the world came first. Really. Dammit.
Yuna
Yuna reached up to wrap an arm around Rikku's shoulders. "No," she smiled fondly. "We are not." Rikku had put the conference together, Rikku had kicked the Guado into coming, and those two things had saved the world. Sure Lulu had helped, and sure they'd used Yuna's name, but Rikku had done all the hard work.
So, no, Yuna was going to make sure her cousin did not trade on set of crises for another.
Rikku
Yunies gave the best hugs. It was true.
"Really?" she said, hesitantly. "You don't mind? I kinda ... wanted to take some time off. Like, a lot of it? Reno's world is all crazy and if I go visit him, I can help him save things for a while and ..."
When you were a Guardian, saving someone else's world totally counted as a vacation. Especially if your boyfriend lived there.
She was rambling. She was going to just shut up and squeeze, instead.
Lulu
Lulu nodded. "I think I'll be fine on my own, anyway," she said. "Things are... certainly calmer now. If need be, I can call Yuna in, but I doubt I'll even need to do that.
"Quite honestly, I'm surprised you've not run off to Gaia already. I would have, in your place."
Yuna
"Seriously, Rikku, what are you still doing here?" Yuna smirked and tightened her hug. Because Rikku was going to be away for a while, and while that was good... Yuna was going to miss her cousin.
"You've got a boyfriend you haven't seen in too long, and definitely haven't been seeing often enough."
Rikku
"I see how you are," Rikku teased. "You're just happy to be rid of me. Shoo! Well, I don't need to be told twice."
She squeezed extra-hard before letting go again. "If anything happens -- I mean, if you guys need me? You'll call, right? I have my cell and everything and --"
Lulu
"We'll be fine," Lulu interjected. "And I'm certain Reno would love to see you."
Yuna
"If we need you we'll let you know."
Though with Rikku on vacation, Yuna's definition of 'need' was going to be incredibly extreme. Like... the return of Sin or something.
Rikku
"Okay," Rikku agreed. Too exhilarated, too excited, too tired to argue. They'd call! She could just go. They had this covered. After all, Yuna was High Summoner, and Lulu was scary-awesome. Rikku: not required. "Nap first. No, first I'm gonna see if I can catch Rin before he takes off."
As if Rin would miss a chance to sell his wares to this many people. O'aka the Twenty-Third had shown up, too. Which was perfect, since you got better rates if you played them against one another. And she had some
letters she should write, too, for that matter.
"Get some weapons and armor, and then take a nap, and then find a cheap portal, and ... you guys had better take the weekend off, too, you hear me? Yuna, if Tidus can walk on Monday, I'm gonna be sad."
Lulu
"Trust me," Lulu said. "They're going to have to restock the monster arena by the time I'm through."
There was nothing so relaxing as killing massive amounts of fiends.
Yuna
"I'll... see what I can do." Yuna felt like Lulu had cast firaga on her face.
Rikku
"Good," Rikku laughed. She surveyed the area again. The tents were coming down, and the groups were dispersing, and it was over. No casualties, and a lot of fresh starts.
"We did it," she said, a little in awe. "We really did it."
She was starting to think that, between the three of them? They could do anything.
(OOC: Preplayed with the lovely
