Info post! Which is very late, and from Rikku's account because I feel like using Rikku's account, dammit.
RIKKU - Final Fantasy X -
the_merriest As of Monday, she's left the island, so this one will be brief. She's back on Spira, trying to set up cell towers and hoping that people start playing nicely with each other. It's unlikely, but stranger things have happened. She's going to be playing through the more political aspects of FFX-2, but skipping the bits where she dressed like a hooker and went sphere-hunting.
She's madly in love with Reno (
raspberryturk), who is back on Gaia, and when her cell doesn't work, she's going to be writing frantic letters to everyone she knows.
ALICE LIDDELL - American McGee's Alice -
notyourpawn Alice is American McGee's Alice, which means she's also Alice from Wonderland. She went down the rabbit hole for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and then stepped through a mirror into a parallel world in Through the Looking-Glass. That Alice, yes.
Six months later, her house burned down in a fire, one that killed the rest of her family. Injured, grieving, and never all that sane to begin with, seven-year-old Alice went catatonic and was placed in an asylum.
During her fifteenth year, the residents of Wonderland (which was now turned dark and twisted by her own madness) dragged her back to help them slay the Red Queen and save them from her cruel reign of power. She fought a bloody battle, won, and woke up on her sixteenth birthday, sanity restored. A week later, she came to Fandom; she's been here ever since.
She's healing, but she still has moments where you can tell she's utterly insane. She is involved with Leto Atreides II in ways that neither of them care to specify with labels. She works at Groovy Tunes, and loves modern music, especially loud, angry, improper things. And again, she's batshit insane, so ... fair warning on that front.
MISS ELIZABETH BENNET - Pride and Prejudice -
clevermsbennet Miss Elizabeth Bennet is from Jane Austen's classic work, Pride and Prejudice, with icons from the phenomenal BBC miniseries. She has endured Mr. Collins's proposal, but not the Netherfield Ball, which she is traveling home for shortly. (Yes, the latter comes before the former in canon; they were reversed in my retelling. It's a long story.)
She taught Literature last school year, and will be teaching Practical Etiquette this summer. She is playful, dry, and hoping that she will not have to marry to avoid poverty. And she will never turn down a good cup of tea.
NAMINÉ - Kingdom Hearts -
palestshadow Naminé is an expatriate, living in Brighton with Valentine (
importantman). If you know KH canon, then she lived out the ending, which I proceeded to thoroughly mess up, because that was so freaking uncool. She's an actual real person now, so she's lost all of her powers, but being a real person more than makes up for it.
If you don't know KH canon, then I'm being cryptic so as to avoid major, huge spoilers. If you want to be spoiled, there's more info on her journal.
SAM - Sam & Max -
samnotmax Sam and Max run the Freelance Police station in town. Freelance meaning they're not real cops, no. You have to pay for it. Sam thinks he's a 1930s-style gumshoe, and Max is a completely deranged lagomorph (well, bunny). They both believe that random violence solves just about anything. Which means they're even crazier than Alice, yes.
ALEX CABOT - Law and Order: Special Victims Unit -
glasses_justice Alex was an Assistant District Attorney, working closely with the Special Victims Unit. SVU handles sex crimes and child abuse, which means it's a particularly cheerful gig.
Alex prosecuted a case against a Colombian drug king. He didn't appreciate that. A DEA agent died in a car bomb, and Alex herself was gunned down on the streets. She's been declared dead and moved into the Witness Protection Program. (See establishy posts
here and
here.) Since Fandom exists outside of her own dimensional reality, she can keep her name and practice law.
Alex has her arm in a sling, due to a very recent bullet wound in the shoulder, and she's going to be a bit antsy at how slow-paced Fandom is compared to New York City. That is, until the weirdness kicks in, at which point she'll just assume she's lost her mind.
RELLY
I'm completely insane, and I'm on AIM at either rikkutastic or fondofvowels. Married with three kitties, lit nerd, Final Fantasy geek, easily amused. All of my characters have e-mail in their profiles -- if you need me for plotty goodness or just want to say hi, tag me there or on IM.
