Room 308, Tuesday Afternoon
Rikku was bouncing on her toes and puttering around her room. Too fidgety to sit still. So she was going to clean. She never even saw the critter hiding under her bed. Not until it darted out and bit her on the ankle.
"Hey!" she shouted. She jumped up, fists held at the ready, but whatever-it-was had scampered away again. She had a really bad feeling about this ...
So she sat down on her bed to look over the bite. It didn't look too scary, but anything could be poisonous. In fact, she was already starting to feel kinda sick. Dammit. Good thing she kept healing items in her leg-pouch? She was digging through and then --
And then, there was a fabulous cutscene that explained everything! Or at least, a gremlin-induced hallucination. Same difference?
"I have found you at last," the mysterious cat-like figure intoned. Mysteriously.
"Me??" Rubii squeaked. "I was right here!"
"I must teach you how to unleash your true power," the Lightbringer-Giver said. "For you are The One."
"Honto ni? Nobody told me that," Rubii said, scuffing her toes. "I am? Are you sure? Extra-sure?"
"Take the Force Ruby of Mystic Powerness," said the Lightbringer-Giver, holding out a brilliant ruby ring!!! "Reveal your true face."
Then there was an amazing cutscene filled with awesome visuals and the replaying of the theme song! And Rubii was transformed!
"Wai wai!" she exclaimed, bouncing and twirling around. "I look kawaii!"
"There is very little time," the Lightbringer-Giver said. "We must away to fight evil."
Hopefully, evil was in the third floor common room. Because that's where they were going.
