Okay, so the truth was, Rikku probably wasn't going to be able to sleep. She was too keyed up.
Yunie. When she had asked Professor Deadpool about getting access to the
Special Collections section of the library, she hadn't actually expected to find anything. And she hadn't found what she was looking for, exactly, but she
might have found enough. Which was both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. She had to try. For Yunie's sake.
Hamlet was right,
it wasn't worth her life, but ... Yunie had been willing to sacrifice her own life for Spira. Shouldn't somebody be willing to sacrifice something for her? It'd certainly be an interesting topic for the
I Saved the World Club, if they
ever started it.
She rolled over and switched her train of thought to a much better topic: Jude. A thoroughly unexpected
phone call and suddenly her Jude-dude was
her Jude-dude again, and not the crazy jerk that had done those awful things. She didn't want to think about how much it had hurt, losing him like that.
At least Deadpool had let her take the
Godhand out of storage. Legendary weapons did not belong in a locker. Okay, and she kind of owed him big-time for the past week, too, but she was starting to think that was going to be standard. Because seriously: best mentor ever.
She was never getting to sleep at this rate.
