Where did Led Zeppelin get their name?
Formerly known as The Yard Birds, they had a new idea: to make the front man(Robert Plant) and the guitarist(Jimmy Page) equals on the stage. Until then, this was unheard of, and Roger Daultry of The Who commented how that idea would 'go over like a lead zeppelin'. To show them, The Yard Birds decided to tweak the name like a lot of bands in the 60's did( The Beatles, The Cyrcles, etc.) and became known as the success they are today: LED ZEPPELIN.
