happenings
- had our holiday gathering this past saturday. it was good to see several people i haven't seen in awhile. i promise not to be so damn anti-social next year! overall it was a good party - good food courtesy of amy, good booze and lots of fun. several unnamed members of our party ventured down the street to check out the euro-trash night club. amy and i bowed out citing lack of funds, but neither of us were enthused about having drunk, sweating eastern european men hitting on us. apparently it was a hoot - the floor vibrated. oh well, maybe next time.
- myself and amy went to see hairspray the musical tuesday night through free tickets i got from work. i quite enjoyed it considering that i usually don't like musicals. it was funny and catty and not too cheesy. i have to watch the film on which it was based now...*yes* i've never seen it. poo on me. now if only i could get free tickets to wicked...
- what originally was forecast as being perhaps a 3 inch snow storm today, is now up to about 6 inches and counting. i love snow, but i did not love the nearly 2 hours it took me to drive what normally takes me about 40 minutes. and i will also not love digging my car out tomorrow. i hate being an adult sometimes.
- working retail this time of year is stinky. but why do i keep doing it?
