i feel as if this last month as been somewhat of a blur.
amy came home (finally!) and within several days of her arrival we had our first move into our apartment. meaning we moved my stuff in first as amy's parents couldn't come that weekend. you would have thought i had learned having previously lived on the third floor. nope, had to move on the fourth floor this time. ouch. but if it is the sacrifice i have to make for a nice apartment, so be it.
labor day weekend we had to attend our friend's wedding. not a big deal really, but it was in wisconsin. and when i say wisconsin i mean on-the-banks-of-lake-superior-across-the-street-from-michigan wisconsin. it is very pretty up there, albeit a bit scary with all the taxidermy shops and lack of decent eating options. but it was a very nice wedding and we had a good time. i just could have done without spending $100 in gas that weekend.
amy finished her thesis. w00t! i think someone should now give her a job. she's cute and handy to have around...i think those are good qualifications!
this past weekend amy's folks came over from iowa with her stuff. and of course it's been 90F out...will this roaster of a season ever end? we went out to dinner with them and my mom on saturday night which went fairly well. then sunday we moved her stuff, which wasn't too horrible. our nice downstairs neighbor helped us :) but yeesh...i never thought i'd meet someone who owns more stuff than i ;) but we have a real bed now! and living room furniture. this makes mel happy.
so now we just gotta figure out where to put everything. and then probably have an ebay party with all the extra crap we own. if anyone has anything they need at the moment let us know...we may have an extra one laying around somewhere.
and now the promised reward...pictures!
this is the outside of our apartment.
myself at the apartment before we moved in.

and last...amy at mars cheese castle, just over the wisconsin border. they actually have good cheese!
ttfn!
