Everyone does crappy things. That's because nobody can be the "perfect" friend. If you deem that you are going to be someone's friend though, it shouldn't be as a favor to them. It should be because there is some sort of mutual respect and caring between the two people.
That's how I found out about friends that can work with you over things and not just chastize you for months and then dismiss you as if you never existed and everything they ever told you was just pretend.
Even I have some friends who drive me crazy and who I think make bad choices and sometimes I can even roll my eyes at them - but there is always love there and I'd never purposefully ruin it.
Because sometimes - once your bridges are burned this bad - nobody is ever going to bother rebuilding them only to feel direspected again.
