I've been lax about updating these... so there's a few in here. Some really great questions, though, made me do research and everything!! :)))
If you're interested in asking your own question,
go ahead!
I don't have Livejournal ;_; --> so I decided to post my thanks for the *awesome* Christmas presents here!! Thank-you, tahnk-you, thank-you!! Is there any chance, though, of getting you to upload Ben for us to download?? ^_^
Aww you're welcome!! I hope you enjoyed them. (X And yes, I can upload Ben, not a problem! I will post him later this month.
Carlos&Hector: I've noticed that you two speak in English together, even though you are both Hispanic. Why is that?
Hector: I'm fluent in both languages, but I was raised in Miami. I went to school here and ever since I was able to talk, English was my first language. My father made sure of that because he wanted me to become a businessman like him. I have no problem speaking Spanish, though.
Carlos: I didn't learn English until I was 18 when I moved to Miami. Hector had taught me a little when I was younger, but none of it stayed when I didn't use it. Moving here forced me to use it more, and then when I went into school and police academy I had to be able to speak it fluently. I tend to revert back to Spanish when I'm angry or in a more intimate setting, but I am comfortable with both languages.
How are the new babies, Claire and Colton? Are we going to see them soon? What do they look like?
Colton: They are wonderful. They are already developing such incredible personalities... Donovan, when he cries, he is HEARD. There's no way to forget about that little guy. We think he's going to have red hair like Claire, but it's hard to tell. And Devyn is such a Daddy's Girl... she quiets down the minute I have her up in my arms. I have to say I never expected fatherhood to affect me quite like this... but I'd do anything for Claire and for them. I'd give my life to keep theirs safe.
We'll send you guys pictures soon. It's been a little crazy here for Christmas this year, what with three little ones running around the house. (Lilah has started calling them HER babies... as if she weren't cute enough.)
What is something we don't know about you?
Random fact: I make some (SOME) of my own CC for scenes or sims that I need it for. I don't redistribute because most of the time it's actually just a crappy recolor or I've used textures from something else that I don't feel comfortable with claiming as my own. I've made a full-face blush, (like, all over, what Claire does/did when she was a teenager), watery eyes, red/irritated eyes, scars, bandages, wounds, SOME clothing, a fevered flush, hair recolors... and I think that's about it. I have never meshed in my life before, and I don't know how to recolor objects.
Claire/Colton: What life lessons/maxims do you hope to teach your children?
Colton: I want them to learn everything... all types of lessons, meaning they'll scrape their knees from running too fast, and they'll learn that when they lie, it hurts someone and they won't do it again.
Claire: And if they get a speeding ticket, they'll have to pay for it, not us.
Colton: Oh, that's a good one.
Claire: I want them to know they can do anything, but if they need help they only have to ask.
Colton: Yeah. And I hope they learn that no matter how many times they may mess up or make mistakes, their mom and I will always love them.
C/C: do you plan on having more children?
Claire: ((looks at Colton with doe-eyes))
Colton: ((laughing)) Whaaatttt? Our kids are not even a year old yet...
Claire: ((taps monitor)) They mean for the future, though.
Colton: It's not the future yet. Besides, can you honestly say you'd be willing to add to the circus we've got going on in that house right now? An aunt, a toddler, two grandparents, two parents, two infants...
Claire: ... and a partridge in a pear tree?
Colton: Exactly.
Claire: You didn't answer the question.
Colton: I... I... well, I don't have to, do I?
Claire: Yes. They asked you a question.
Colton: ((sighs)) Okay. The answer is Yes. No. Maybe.
Claire: ((swats at him)) The answer is we're not sure yet. But it hasn't been ruled out.
Colton: what have you learnt about fatherhood you weren't expecting?
Colton: That no matter how gross it was to me before, I wish I could say it isn't now. But it still is. You just deal with it, because it's your kid. There's a new mentality that comes with parenthood. The protective instincts get hyped up on steroids... and I never in a million years thought that one little squeeze on my finger, or one tiny little laugh, or one cute little smile would seriously do me in.
Claire: are you breastfeeding?
Claire: Yes. Although it's very difficult... we have to time it so that both Donovan and Devyn are awake and feeding at the same time. I'm hoping I can make it to the six month mark at least before having to give it up. It was important to me that they have the natural immunities and nutrients that come from breast feeding as opposed to formula.
