Five years ago today, I crossed a stage and was handed the most expensive piece of paper of my life.

Has it really been five years already?!

I hate to break it to you, but time will only go quicker and quicker.
(for me, it's almost been 8 years! *gasp*)

Oh, I know. I've felt the increasing time warp since college, at least. Each year when Jan. 1 rolls around I wonder where the past year has gone. But when I'm looking at chunks of time, these five years since law school seem particularly striking somehow.

In many ways, I can't quite comprehend that it's already been five years because I frequently feel like I'm just getting my feet off the ground. But then, there are times when I look back and I can appreciate how much I've done and grown these past five years, and it makes me wonder what the next five years will bring. :)
