All's well that ends well.

Weekend with sister/BIL/parents went fabulously. Despite the lack of mochi. Which I've gotten over. Mostly. My sister and BIL flew out yesterday evening, so there wasn't much we could do earlier in the day. We had dim sum for lunch and shopped. After they left, my parents and I drove out to the Leesburg Outlets. It was a quick trip but I did get a new watch, which kind of makes me guilty but the glee over its beauty makes me gloss over the guilt. Came back and had dinner and then I suggested my mom put in one of her Korean melodramas. I thought it would be a good way to spend the rest of the evening without us sitting there looking at one another going, "So . . ." We ended up getting severely hooked onto the drama and stayed up until two in the morning. Yes, we are obsessive. And though my parents were supposed to leave after breakfast today, my mom took pity on me and offered to let me watch one more disc so they didn't leave until eleven. This meant I had two hours to shower, pack, finish laundry, and do all those things I would have done earlier in the day. But I managed to make it out the door in time and with everything in tow, all according to plan . . .

Or so I thought.

The train had just reached Newark, NJ when I started pawing through my purse to find something. My hand hit my house keys and that's when I realized. I didn't have my apartment keys. It was a total Bridge moment where you could see the word, "F-----------ck," being written across the screen next to my head. The next hour was spent in hopeful agony. Obviously, it worked out in the end as I am home and updating my LJ. The other apartment building (the one next to Scores) has a security desk that's staffed until eleven. Hoping that this applied to weekends as well, I zipped up there first. Thank goodness there was someone there and after calling his manager, I was given a key. YAAAAAAAY!

I'm so exhausted now. This is one adventure I could've done without!
