(no subject)
I earlier attempted to make a cartoon like i usually do for the newsletter, but was unable to come up with any ideas, nor did i have any ambitions to do so. Sigh...motivation has been lacking lately for everything. I'm trying to figure out why, but i cant put my finger on it. I think its Vermont. The being solitary everynight just gets to me. I can live all on my own, and i dont have much of a problem with it, but durring the week, all i have is work and my computer, which even the internet is being less and less entertaining. I dont even feel like playing video games. Bah. Oh well, my weekends usually make up for it. This one will be busy but at least not lonely. only 2 more weeks of the isolation.
Speaking of which, i have to attempt to move out of RI and VT at the same time and start a new job. For you folks playing the home version, I'm going to be Orientation coordinator at RPI for the summer. This is a step up from last year where i was just an advisor. I really do like doing this kind of stuff, and after reading v-mills entry, the idea of a career in higher education does sound appealing. Too bad i'm an engineer. Oh well, i like that a lot too. Who knows where i'll end up in a few years.
Other than that, my life isnt that interesting. I think once i'm out of VT and the weather becomes truely warm, i'll be back in the full swing of things. I also cant wait to get out onto a driving range to get ready for the golfing season. I would like to play more than 2 rounds this year, and i would also like to learn how to drive the ball. You see, this is how my game breaks down. The long game sucks. My short game sucks. But mid-range game is actually pretty good. I just need to get a good start and finish down, and i'm all set. I'm going to see if i can get out on the driving range friday afternoon after my meeting at fye. Everyone will be at clas, and i'll have nothing to do. I may end up doing a load or 2 of laundry at rpi. I completely forgot to get quarters tonight, and i dont want to wait around for laundry here tomorrow afternoon. Oh well. It's actually cheaper there. Anyways, i'm outa here. It's morphin time!
