Oou good one. Niel and Gennady met at a bar. Niel was working and training in Ireland before he went to Denmark, and Gennady was...well, he used to be "working."
The two weren't really close, close friends until Dara encouraged Gennady to get out more and kicked him out of her room.

How do you start a new story? Like, do you pick a character and say 'what can we do today?' or is it more taking a prompt and waving it over the character kennels, and picking whoever jumps the highest?

Story as in novel, or as in prompt?
For novels, the characters usually are there, but it's that "What If?" question that gets to me first. Or aspects of my life.
As for prompts, I take whichever I decided on and think about how to fit it in. My brain usually comes up with something relatively quickly.
For example, if I had the prompt "Fire," I'd sit and think of who it could apply to. I'd get Dara, Niel, Loki, Tobias, and Vix. Then I'd pick one that spoke the loudest, figure out just how it'd fit, and go with it.

An accident. He knocked over a row of candles while praying, and having a fit, and they ignited a section of the house immediately. Because he became so paranoid, he took it as a sign from God and continued to pray and praise as the house burned.
He thought he was immoral and needed to be purified.

Niel's little fling that got him in so much trouble - who made the first move?

Otherwise, Dara would have killed Greta =)

Um.... Who's your favorite character to write? And who's your favorite character in general?

My favorite character in general is a toss up between Gennady and Max. I like my Russians =)

A woodchuck would chuck all the wood he could chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood.

How did the fire in Tobias's house start? Was it an accident, or did someone light it?
I'm just as bad at coming up with questions as I am dares. XD

And he was originally supposed to be Meena's love interest...

I need to write more about him soon. He's still unknown for the most part.
