Curious to know why you thought you'd hate the answer? Because you're right. I wish I could lj-cut comments due to graphic nature :\ At least they're collapsed now. Anyone else reading this may be warned for graphic content ( ... )

I think you mentioned it once and gave me the impression that the reason was REALLY HORRIFYING so I sort of got scared off asking you. But I was still curious about it and ahhhhhghjsgljdhglfhu; this reason is like, far worse than anything I was thinking.

I'M REALLY GLAD HE WARNED LILLY NOT TO EAT IT D: Although it meant he had to watch while they...eegh.

How to Brandon and Mark realize that they like each other in the ... 2nd or 3rd dimension? I don't remember which one.

And just because I don't think I get mpreg: What exactly is the deal with the kids?

It's so convoluted it's hard to explain without timelines and extra super family-size tl;dr ramblings, basically XD But here's the shortest way I can explain it: Brandon and Mark have pretty much always been in love with each other. It wasn't always a sexual, romantic love, but it has still been a very pulling, soulmate-esque sort of love. Brandon doesn't believe in soulmates, but that's basically what they are. Mark is inherently straight, and is only sexually attracted to women, but he is able to fall in love with and have sex with (and enjoy that sex) Brandon because...he loves him. He is only able to be with both Jack and Mark once he gets to that level with them as well, but it takes much longer than with Brandon, and he still clearly loves Brandon more and prefers him. An attempt to have sex with Terry before he (Mark) was really ready for it resulted in him nearly vomiting (mostly with anxiety and that it didn't feel right) and feeling awful. So yeah. This is all better explained on the other lj I have for the story, I can find ( ... )

Will the dimention jumping continue beyond the story? And is it happening to other people, or just your three for some reason?

That's a good question. As far as they know, it has only happened to them. But I'm planning to write a short piece that includes Brandon's mother going back in time and having a sort-of second life - the one with him in it. (Brandon could never do it because he doesn't believe in that sort of thing, would never accept it as true.) I'm not sure if that bit, with Brandon's mother, is going to be chopped nuts or not, but it probably will. As far as they know, it only happens to them, but the reason it happens to them is that they really kind of belong together, are supposed to be together, because they're the only ones that really fit with each other.

This time-traveling doesn't sound like a general thing that happens to people with unfinished business since it's just your characters, so what causes it? Is it a benevolent being? A fluke? A really strong wish to go back? A genetic thing? None of the above?
