Okay, it depends on what classes you think you'll end up taking and what kind of atmosphere you want.

Alvey - where my boyfriend Nick currently lives. They have AC in there, but that is turned on/off by the building's head resident, so it isn't always nice. Nice a bad atmosphere, though it is on the side of campus where there's nothing except the gym and Jepson (the science building).

Mercer - not an option, because it is going to be turned into an administrative building, I think. It's replacement is Custis...

Custis - nice, right next door to me. Only downfall is the First Year experience, which REQUIRES you go to these mandatory stupid meetings about how to study well and silly stuff like that. Nice dorm, but avoid the crap requirements.

Mason - recognized as the freshman party dorm along with Russell. There is hope though, because it isn't as bad as Russell is. Mason has a decent mix of people - five floors of them. I know lots of guys from Mason this year who are just fine and dandy people.

Russell - party dorm like WHOA WHOA WHOA. A-VOID.

Jefferson - probably a decent bet. Has partiers, but not to an extreme. However, it is on the opposite side of campus that Alvey is. It's got a lawn out front of it, so it's nice when you can play outside.

So it boils down to Mason and Jefferson. Jefferson is easy to get lost in though - try Mason, maybe? I'd leave it to Mary Wash to decide for you...they just end up throwing you somewhere random anyways. Good luck!

CONGRATULATIONS!
