Stacie's not sure what time it is when she wakes up, sun streaming through the hut windows, but she does know, before anything else, that there's an arm over her shoulders, a body pressed close to her back, and, a few seconds later, that she's not actually in her own bed. That it's Danny beside her comes only a moment later; what lead up to it, the night before, that takes longer, but at least he's still asleep (or so that deep, even breathing would imply), meaning he doesn't see the calm, contented smile that spreads across her face.

Carefully, so as not to wake or disturb him, she manages to roll over, leaving a slight distance between them, but letting her look at him, which seems to be the more important thing just then. This still doesn't feel quite real, even with the two of them there in bed, with what she knows happened, if only for as much as she's wanted this and continued to turn him down. With one thumb, she gently brushes a piece of hair off his face where it's fallen, and entirely despite herself, she can't quite help it; she leans forward, enough to press a kiss to the corner of his mouth, the touch just as soft.
