Well. One grad school rejection letter down, two to go. I don't know whether to be glad UNC didn't leave me in suspense until March, or thoroughly discouraged that they managed to decide against me so promptly

I hope so. I can't say this makes me feel better about my chances of getting into berkeley...

I know of other people who got turned down from "easier" schools and yet got into Berkeley...

heh heh, UW accepted me and far "worse" schools rejected me. so it's all a matter of timing. :> which school has someone who wants someone like you at the time you're applying...
