1. My father’s study. It was my favorite room.
2. The scent of my father’s cologne mixed with whiskey.
3. There were always visitors at the estate house.
4. Some of the visitors were nicer to me than my parents were.
5. My parents laughed sometimes.
6. I think I occasionally came close to making them proud.
7. Dancing. There was dancing.
8. A snow angel.
9. Studying. There was so much school work, some of it not even from school.
