13 things I'd like to pass on to my children Valentine
1. Having a good sense of self-worth.
2. Knowing how to pick up after himself.
3. Being self-reliant.
4. A good education.
5. Being able to cook more than just the microwave meal.
6. To know that the past does not necessarily dictate the future.
7. To set a good example of how a parental figure should be in case he has children someday.
8. An example for his future of what a healthy, stable relationship can be like (by observing myself and Metody)
9. How to function within a family.
10. To play the piano (this is a surprise, for Christmas, that I am going to teach him lessons. He said he wished to learn an instrument and this is the one I play)
11. That material things are nice, but not what we should rely on for happiness.
12. The ability to be calm in the midst of troubles.
13. That he is very loved and wanted in our home, that he might someday have home of his own in which to feel the same.
