2.3 - Nightmares
13 Nightmares I’ve had.
1. That Peter dies… over and over and over.
2. That Peter leaves without a word… again.
3. That I never went to Kirby Plaza.
4. New York after my not going to Kirby Plaza.
5. My reflection. The worst version of myself.
6. My father’s death. I won’t explain this, but those are odd dreams.
7. Burning all over with no relief.
8. Listening to all of the awful things my mother has said to me on repeat and in stereo sound.
9. Being alone in a room with no windows or doors. Nothing at all but me and my own thoughts.
10. Falling.
11. Running after Peter but always being one step behind.
12. I’ve heard every ‘I’m leaving you’ speech in the book in so many nightmares.
13. That I didn’t get to Peter and Adam in time to convince Peter of what was happening.
