Pharaun slumped in a chair, in a booth. Strange things were happening in the hotel, and not in the usual way. There were booths set up all over the place, some open with people in them waiting for something and some with the curtains drawn closed. There were noises coming from those ones, the kind of sounds easily recognized by anyone who had been in the hotel very long. It couldn't possibly be very comfortable like that.

Black Lady continued down the hall, slowing to a stop at not only the sight of a sign that didn't quite look like the others, but the familiar figure sitting inside the booth. Well, now at least she could find out why people were doing this. "What are you doing?"

Pharaun looked up. "Oh, hello. Apparently I'm running a kissing booth. Or rather," he added with a wry smile, "a h'toob gnissik, whatever that's supposed to be. I've no idea what the hotel's playing at."

The signs on other booths had mentioned as such, but there was far more than kissing going on in some of them. She really wasn't sure if she wanted to step into the booth, but judging from his initial reaction Pharaun appeared to be acting normally. Maybe it was random how affected people were by this. Besides, his sign was backwards. Maybe it meant something.

"So if I step closer, you'll have to kiss me?"

"One would presume." I can't say I'd mind terribly, in your case, he added silently, but I don't think anyone in their right mind would.
