The hotel had sent him back to Germany, and now the hotel had brought him back after seeing some pink roses had triggered his memories of this place. Until then, it had all seemed like a dream to him. Dreams didn't explain the marks he'd had on him when he woke up in his bed in Berlin. Dreams didn't explain the feeling that there was something he'd forgotten, something important.

But the memories were back now, along with a terrible sense of dread. Kia had promised Ran he'd wait for him. How long have I been gone from here? Did he look for me? Does he hate me now? He sighed his frustration and looked around the bedroom. Same room as before - there were the marks where he'd punched the wall. But there was something different this time. A mirror rested on the ceiling above his bed. He sighed. That was more of Louise's thing than his. It had been useful once, but probably not again.

Today, there were no marks on his body and he'd woken up in uniform. He sat on the bed. It was probably safer to stay here and wait than risk learning what games waited for him out in the halls.
