It had been a real find, and half the reason Tsunade had all but disappeared from the castle's radar for several weeks, possibly months: when you found a floor that was as perfect as this one, you really didn't want to leave. Not only was the little seaside village picturesque and peaceful, it also boasted an almost complete lack of aphrodisiac so Tsunade was able to properly be herself without any embarrassing altering of her mind and body for the first time in who-knew-how-long.
Roots were easy to put down, too: she'd found an easy job as the village healer, a nice house of her own, and a surprisingly good nightlife that kept her in booze and fun on her off-hours. All in all, even better than home. She'd started dressing more modestly - today in a snug green turtleneck and black capris - and training again as well when she could find the time. For such a quiet place, there were always plenty of cases that needed a healer's touch.
Tsunade was on her way back home along the packed-dirt path, humming quietly with a paper bag full of food, when the figure coming the opposite way along the path began looking very, very familiar. She chuckled to herself, knowing her luck had taken yet another turn for the better if he was here too...there was nothing for it but to say hello.
"Well, well. Fancy seeing you here again."
