Hiei loved to fight. She was a demon, it was just the way they lived. She loved the thrill of a hard fought battle, no matter who she was fighting against. Humans were usually weak and she didn't bother with them. They were too easy to kill. She was also supposed to be helping protect them now that the laws in the demon world had changed.
She leaned against the trunk of an ancient tree, smirking as she looked out at a decimated battle field. None of the bodies that were strewn about were human. Sure, a lot of them looked human, but there was something off about them. She was covered in blood that wasn't her own, most of it a dark color, not quite red, but almost.
"Weaklings, but still enjoyable," she said to the air. She was worked up in more ways than one. She wanted to find someone stronger to fight in order to test her skills, but there was no one left on the battle field. She had killed everyone already. It had been far too long since she had been able to enjoy a battle like this. She missed the feeling of being worked up like this and being able to enjoy her demonic nature.
"I need someone stronger," she said, looking around. There had to be someone left alive around here that could really give her a fight.
