Ion was in the kitchen, which smelled of freshly baked goods even though it was still fairly early in the morning. The replica had been working on something special for the few people precious to him that he knew were still in the hotel. Among those was a gingerbread house, which was what he was currently working on

Tsukasa hadn't been getting any better, and had been stuck in bed for most of the sickness. Suffice to say his spirits were a bit down as he forced himself to walk to the kitchen. He hadn't kept much down and was hoping that maybe he could get some soup. With it being Christmas he didn't want to just lay around all day and maybe he could even make something for Krad and Nine

He wasn't expecting to see Ion baking away however as he stopped at the door.

"Ion?"

Ion looked over his shoulder, equally surprised. "Tsukasa? Are you well enough to be up?" He still felt bad that the other boy was suffering because of him.

"I was hoping to make something for Krad and Nine....and I'm tired of being in bed."

"I can't say I approve, but I understand." Ion set down the frosting spoon to hug Tsukasa.

"What do you want to make?"

Tsukasa returned the hug. Currently all his wings were hidden so he didn't wrap his wings around them both like he normally would.

"I don't know...I'm not that great at cooking."

Ion didn't mind the lack of wings.

"This is my first time trying. I found a baking recipe book to follow.""

"Can you help me?"

His face was still flushed with a fever but he was doing his best to pretend he was ok for both Ion and Krad and Nine.

"I would be happy to," Ion said, taking his hand. Working together could be fun.

"Thank you Ion."

He smiled weakly, his already pale skin even paler and his skin looking slightly baggy as he hadn't eaten in awhile.

"just be careful not to overdo it okay, Tsukasa?" Setting aside his current project, he pushed the book to his friend.

"I'll be ok, I promise."

He took the book and flipped through it. There were so man he didn't know what to choose though he did find cute ginger snap cookies in the shape of reindeer made with chocolate covered pretzels for antlers.

"Could we make this?"

Looking over Tsukasa's shoulder,Ion nodded. "Those are cute. I think it's a good idea."

"Ok and I think Nine will like them too."

[frailestreplica]

"I'm sure she will. And I have some dough left from my other bakig, so we might only need the chocolate and pretzels."

"Ok and we'll need M&M's for the eyes and nose."

"M&Ms?"

One would think that since he was staying with a candy monger, Ion would know what those were...but he didn't.
