The festive season was in full swing, and even in a place like the hotel, it seemed like everything was just a touch more pleasant. The staff had gone through a lot of trouble in making special Christmas havens for the residents, just places to relax and soak in the spirit of the season. They were the perfect holiday escape, they had everything;

"Ho, ho, ho~" Ruka giggled lightly as she had been in the particular room with the chimney that was scheduled to be cleaned. She hadn't expected to see Amelia pop up in this manner, but she knew quite a lot about Christmas and the holiday season.

"This is the part where you eat my cookies, drink my milk and leave me some presents, Mrs. Claus."

Needless to say, Amelia did not get the references, still very much a learner where Christmas as whole was concerned, leaving her to gawp in confusion at her friend. At least it was somehow she knew, who was aware and more used to the princess' general naivety and habit of missing the point.

"Um, I don't think I have any presents Miss Ruka, and I wouldn't steal your food anyway." she replied, looking rather baffled.

Ruka reached over to Amelia with a gentle smile, hand stroking her cheek lovingly before replying back.

"But if I left it out for you to eat, it's not stealing~ And why else would you be up the chimney in a suit like that one if you don't have presents?"

"I guess not. And well, I was cleaning it, as you can see." Amelia replied, gesturing to the soot to show just how badly the chimney had needed sweeping. However she soon registered the touch to her face, gently trying to usher the hand away, more out of consideration than anything.

"Hey, you shouldn't do that, I'm filthy. I don't want you getting dirty as well." she said with a small laugh.

"Hehe, yeah I can see that~" Ruka reluctantly pulled her hand away when Amelia motioned her to do so, only to use a nearby mini towel to wipe her face clean.

"Then, why don't I clean you up?" she asked while laughing herself.

Smiling in appreciation for the gesture, Amelia let the other girl clean her up a bit. It certainly felt good to lift of the layer of soot for her skin, if only temporarily.

"Thank you, even if I'm going to get dirty again going back up there. I don't want to make you hang around either Miss Ruka." she replied.

Ruka didn't just stop with cleaning Amelia's face, as she would soon discover the girl start to remove her clothes a garment at a time and clean that part of her body; Ruka was currently cleaning her arms.

"Anytime, but I can't let you go back up there today~"

Amelia would have taken more time to question why her companion was cleaning her further, but her thoughts got sidetracked with that question.

"But I need to finish cleaning this up. I can't leave it like this, it's not suitable for a guest." she countered. After all, she did have a job to do, and she didn't want to slack off on it.

"You can do that tomorrow, alright?" Ruka continued cleaning Amelia's arms while making sure she didn't move that much.

"But I'm nearly done. I won't be much longer if I get it finished now." she whined, pouting a bit in the hopes Ruka would reconsider. Of course, it didn't help that the expression just made her cutesy.

"...How much time would you need?" Ruka kissed Amelia passionately and held it for quite a while, only considering the possibility of letting her go if the time limit was within her boundary. Plus, seeing her cute expression before was reason not to let her go.

Well, it wasn't like she could answer while Ruka's lips were pressed to hers like that. She made a startled whimper into the kiss, both in a mix of surprise and enjoyment. Thankfully, she did get room to answer when she pulled back to catch her breath. "Can I at least know what's so urgent that you can't wait too long to let me finish?" she asked, flushing a bit more.

"Giving you your Christmas present, of course~" Ruka nuzzled Amelia's cheek with her own pulling back to give her a small smile while her arms were nestled snugly around her body. "And, making sure you don't get too dirty from going back up there-otherwise, what's the point of me cleaning you up?"

"Christmas? That winter holiday everyone is talking about? You give presents to people for it?" she asked, starting to feel a little bad Ruka had thought of her and she had nothing to exchange in return, even if it wasn't her fault no one celebrated the holiday in her world.

"Yep, it's sorta a yearly thing." Ruka replied while gently rocking against Amelia. "But it's not all about giving presents to other people. It has more to do with...family."

"Oh, well it's a shame most people don't have their families with them here then." she sighed, recalling Ruka mentioning she had a brother when they first met. She must have missed him, being stuck in the hotel.
