Twilight was just beginning to fall, bathing the land in a soft glow as the sun was setting behind the horizon. The plains were quiet as Princess Zelda, on horseback, galloped at a leisure pace across them, steadily reaching her destination. Just as she came upon the Great Bridge of Hylia, the sun had set, allowing the moon to climb higher in the darkened sky. Getting off the horse, she walked across the cobblestoned pathway until reaching her destination of a wooden shack that served its purpose as a shrine to pray to Lanayru.
It was of a small size, meant for one -- two people at most -- and had only one
room. This lodging was mainly for the weary traveler crossing between the two provinces of Faron and Lanayru, and could be used as a small shrine to pay respects to the fallen Light Spirit. Such was what Zelda had come to do; she had traveled from Hyrule Castle and by the time getting to the bridge, the sun had set, giving her just enough time to tether her horse to a post and gave it fresh water and food. She would remain here for the night and return tomorrow morning.
Gathering a few logs from the neatly stacked woodpile near the fireplace, she placed them in the hearth and started a fire, shifting the logs around to bathe the room in a soft orange glow and allowing warmth to flow throughout. Removing her cloak, she drapped it on the back of an armchair, wearing a simple white gown that reached past her feet as she walked, the long sleeves keeping the chill of winter at bay. Knealing in front of the fireplace, Zelda clasped her hands in prayer as she bowed her head, hair undone and falling over her shoulders as she closed her eyes and prayed to the Light Spirits and Goddesses.
