[ II ] Holiday Sale - RM 883 - Aphro'd Up
All around the voices shouted, number after number; each person desperately trying to outdo the last. Amazingly, the older gentleman standing behind the podium managed to keep track of all the totals, his gaze moving swiftly through the crowd. Everyone wanted the neatly wrapped item covered in ribbons of red and green behind him and were willing to pay however much it cost. But, at the end of the day, only one lucky customer would win.
A pound of the official's gavel, and the item was carried off the stage. The official was happy, the customer was happy--
--but Lucy Heartfilia was not.
Hauled over a strange man's shoulder like a sack of flour, she squirmed about. It was hard to kick and punch at someone when both your hands and feet were tied up, but by golly, did she ever try! After a few minutes though, her limbs began to grow tired, much to the relief of the man charged with delivering her. He become quite annoyed with antics, getting more then a few bonks to the back of his head with her flailing around.
Perhaps that was why when they reached their destination, he simply dropped her beneath a colorfully decorated Christmas tree. Lucy was screaming, but with her mouth currently gagged by a festive red bow, it only came out as pathetic, muffled cries. The delivery boy seemed to considered her for a minute, contemplating on testing out the goods he just delivered himself. She was tempting, dressed in nothing but those bows and ribbons, but reluctantly decided against it. Instead, he reached into his pocket and removed a card. The smile he gave her was a cocky one though as he propped it up in front of her before turning and leaving the room.
Whoever she was a gift for, the man thought, was certainly a lucky one.
