Normally, Charles had a remarkably good rein over his powers. Ever since he first learned that he could use them, he'd trained himself carefully in order to prevent any mishaps. Although Charles often did put his telepathy to use on the vast majority of people, he had promised to never read Raven's mind again, and for years he had kept that only because of his control. He wasn't aimlessly wandering through people's thoughts, even if it might seem so from the outside.
This time, when he woke up (in an unfamiliar place, no less), he found all at once that the bonds that he placed on his mind were entirely gone. Which meant that he could feel every. single. touch and emotion and thought within a rather large radius. Every time he closed his eyes, he could see it too - sweat slicked bodies, panting and moans and waves of pleasure that were hitting him in bits and pieces as if he were there, as if he were experiencing it. It was almost as if everyone in the nearest...two miles or so was having sex. Which would normally be an anomaly and not a cause of alarm to Charles - he's telepathically intruded (by accident) before, when he was a child, before he could understand it. But this time, the only problem was that there was no turning it off.
Stumbling out of the rather large bed, and ignoring for the moment that it wasn't his own, he lurched his way to a window with movements that were less than graceful - but who needed that, when all of this was beginning to take its toll on him? He stuck his head out of the window and took deep breaths, hoping that the air would calm his mind. A small, quiet moan slips from his lips almost unconsciously, a reflex to all that he's feeling.
In his confusion, he didn't even notice that the door was open.

The hotel is causing Charles' abilities to go haywire, removing his control of them, which means that anyone who comes into direct contact with him (either by touch or by close proximity) is going to be treated to the same feedback loop that he's stuck in right now.
