Marie was busy cursing herself for getting caught up in this weather. What was once a simple wander through the woods devolved into a mad dash for shelter. Had it been just simple rain, it wouldn't of been a problem. The lightning and heavy winds made things worse.

Finding the temple, she was quick to pound on the door to get someone, anyone's attention. Once the doors flew open, Marie stumbled in, her soaked hair obscuring her vision.

"Ah... I... th-thank you. My name's Marie - I'm sorry for intruding, but I got caught in the storm and... please... let me stay until it passes!" she pleaded.

Amelia initially was a bit preoccupied in trying to find the strength to force the doors closed in the wake of the strong winds. Once she had managed to bolt them tight again, she turned her attention to the person who had entered, blinking in surprise. Even with her face covered by her wet hair, there was no mistaking the person in front of her.

"Miss Marie?" she asked, clearly surprised as she moved closer, reaching a hand out to feel just how cold the other girl was. "What are you doing out in such horrible weather?"

"A-Amelia?"

As the other girl reached over to feel how cold she was (and yes, she was cold), Marie brushed back her wet hair to get a look at her. A big smile formed on her face as she recognized her.

"I didn't mean to be, I assure you! I had been wandering when the storm hit. Please, can I stay here? I'll repay you anyway I can!"

It was honestly something that Marie could manage a smile right now, she was frozen if Amelia's touch was accurate.

"Don't be silly, you don't owe me anything. I could never leave you to wander around out there on your own." she insisted. Even if the night had been clear, it would have worried her to think the other girl was out in the forest in the dark. "Now, why don't you come in with me, and we'll find you some clothes, okay?"

Marie nodded as she followed Amelia to get a change of clothes. With everything setting in, she finally found the time to start shivering - part of her didn't want to show any sort of weakness, especially in front of Amelia.

Part of her wanted to shrug herself out of her clothes here and now just to get warm, but that would be rude, especially in this place.

The princess wasted no time in leading the other girl through the passageway into the main hall, the torches on the wall making things a little warmer. From there, they headed through the back of the temple, into the more private rooms, next to where supplies were kept.

"Let me just find some robes in your size, you can do behind that screen and at least undress. There should be a towel behind there for you to dry off with." she instructed, rummaging through the nearby drawers for something that would fit her friend. Thankfully, it didn't take long for Amelia to pass a set of clothes over to Marie. "Do you need anything else?"

Taking the clothes, Marie nodded and made her way over to the screen. Hearing her other question, she replied "Just something to warm me up, Amelia. Please?"

Behind the screen, Marie peeled off her drenched dress, tossing it to the side as she moved to dry herself off - she wasn't sure if anyone else was around, so she wouldn't risk removing her underwear. Drying off the best she could, she slipped on the robe and left behind the screen.

"Again... thank you for this. I... really do want to repay you."

"Alright, I'll be back in a minute." she called in reply, hurrying to the kitchen to boil water and prepare a warm drink for the other girl. It didn't take long, so the drink was piping hot, waiting for Marie when she reappeared, now dry and looking much more comfortable.

"Don't be silly, I'm sure anyone else would have done the same thing. It's jsut a fluke I'm watching this place tonight." she smiled at her friend.

"Well... alright." Marie admitted. Noticing the drink, she stepped forward to take it, giving Amelia a small kiss on the cheek in return. "Thanks..."

Taking the drink, she took a small sip and give a small noise in approval. "It's good...!"

"You're welcome." she replied, pinkening a bit at the kiss to the cheek all the same. Still, she smile nonetheless, nodding for Marie to follow her as she headed further down towards the sleeping quarters.

"There are a few spare rooms, so you can pick whichever one you like. Just choose so I can get the fire in it going for you."

"Okay." With a nod, she looked over the rooms before picking a simple room and claiming it. "I'll take this one. It's... out of the way."

As she went for the bed, she turned to Amelia. "You want to... stay with me for awhile?"

It took a moment for Amelia to respond, her back turned as she cast a fireball spell in order to light up the pile of logs sitting in the fireplace. Once she could feel the temperature slowly increasing, she turned, looking over her shoulder at Marie with a fond smile.

"If that's what you wish, I don't mind. What would you like to do?" she asked.

"Can't two friends spend some time together?" Marie replied, tilting her head slightly as she hopped onto the bed. Patting the other side, she offered the other girl a place by her.

"Of course, I just wondered that's all. Not to mention I thought you might want to rest after being out in that storm." she shrugged, moving to sit down beside Marie.

"I do. Just... I'd like to do so with you around." Marie said, getting herself comfortable as she continued drinking.

"Well, if I can help with that, I'm happy to do so." she smiled at the other girl, curling her legs beneath her as she watched Marie, listening to more of the noise of the storm brewing outside. "I just hope the weather will be better by the morning."
