Pushing her way through it, she fought to the edges where someone shoved a green drink into her hand. She downed it, hoping it would calm her nerves somewhat. The dark-haired woman spotted a couch, and while it wasn't empty, it was better than nothing.
Akiko walked over, pausing in front of the man already taking up the couch and gesturing at the spot next to him.
"May I sit here?"

"Of course. Here." He motioned to the spot beside him and moved over a bit so he wasn't taking up the entire center of the couch.

"Oh, that's much better," she said, looking over at her new companion. He was definitely much more different than any man she had seen before--in fact, there was something about him that was almost inhuman. But not bad looking at all. "Not into dancing either, huh?"

"Not really. I've never been very good at it. And I just got back to the Hotel. So I thought I'd take it easy. Never know what kind of tricks it will play, right?"

"I mean, despite all the bad things about this place it has some good parts. I've made friends here and I have people I care about here. So being back isn't so bad."

"Yeah, you're right. This place has been a good place for making friends," she admitted, giving him a genuine smile. "My name's Akiko, by the way. What's yours?"

"A few months actually. Then it sent me home for a while before pulling me back. It was strange. Back home it was if I never left and I didn't remember a thing. Weird huh?"
