Another day had finally come to an end and what better way to unwind and relax her nerves then with a good, hot, shower; something Crimson Viper wasn't currently in the midst of doing. With the bathroom door slightly left ajar, a single sliver of light illuminated the dark bedroom just on the other side. Her suit laid out neatly on the bed with a wanted poster tucked beneath it.
Normally, she didn't concern herself very much with those kinds of things but this one had got her attention in particular. Mainly because it was her face plastered on the damn thing.
It was puzzling. Who on Earth would even do such a thing? Maybe someone from S.I.N. had finally caught wind of her plans and wanted her taken out. No; this didn't seem like something they'd pull. If they had wanted her dead, they would've done it themselves. That way they could easily cover things up. Make it look like an accident or self-inflicted.
Viper reached out, turning the dials in front of her and shutting off the water. Steam had filled the tiled room; fogging up the mirrors and windows, and slowly drifting out into the bedroom. Taking the bath rob from the nearby rack, she stepped out slowly from the shower. She tried to push the bounty thoughts from her mind, resolving to just spend some quiet time alone.
But as she pushed open the bathroom door and stepped out into the room on the other side, a sudden realization hit her.
She wasn't alone.
