Lady Cassandra the Seer was her ancestor, so it was only natural the the thirty-seventh Cassandra would have some seeing powers also. And a few choice others that she was remarkable fond of.

"That's it darling." The Lamina purred to her unknowing servant. "Just stand still, that's a love." Over the past few week she'd gotten bored and lazy with covering up her identity as a vampire, although she shuddered to use such a base term to describe the senior class of the Night World, even though it would have been an act punishable by death in her world. It wasn't as if there were any others from the Night World here. "This'll hurt." She muttered, not bothering to even try to cover the fact. Her victim was so far under that they shouldn't have been able to feel it and Cassie couldn't be bothered with using her powers to cover up the pain with pleasure like she usually did. She was feeling more than a little selfish.
She was just about to sink her fangs into her meal's neck as somebody rounded the corner and walked into the hallway she'd not bothered moving her victim away from. Furious blue eyes snapped toward the sound. "Stop." Her glamour laced voice commanded, teeth inches from her victim's neck.
