Intro | Halloween Party! | BYOA

Prussia's been here a while, so he's pretty used to the Hotel's shenanigans and the surprises it usually gives its guests. The devil outfit (complete with tail and wings) is a welcome surprise in his closet when he sees it. It's definitely better than a lot of the other things you encounter here, like surprise aphrodisiacs and random tentacle ( Read more... )

FFFTWHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE. I waltz around at just the right moments it seems turkishsurprise November 4 2011, 01:44:20 UTC
If Sadiq was going to have to dress up, the least he could do was still look decent while doing so. He wasn't so much for the silly games of dress-up in cheap costumes. He wore his mask, of course, nothing unusual there -- but with it he dressed himself in a surprisingly nice suit. The Phantom from a certain Opera to be specific, complete with an expensive brown vest and a rather long cape. He wasn't one to dress so rich usually, but Sadiq could make the rare exception. Besides, no one recognized him in it.

Of course, he ends up flagging the bartender for a scotch on the rocks, taking a rather generous gulp, and leaning against the wall as he kept an eye out for something interesting to do.

SPREADING THE AWESOME, lol. So it seems~ How are you? ♥ preussen_ore November 4 2011, 03:02:47 UTC
"Oi bartender, a glass of your best beer and it better be a good kind. None of that weak American shit, you hear me?"

If there's alcohol, Gilbert's certainly going to find it eventually. It's not a surprise then when he winds up at the bar and orders a beer. The party's pretty okay, but he hasn't come across anyone he knows or someone particularly interesting. Spending time with his bestest best friend ever, bier, sounds like a good idea.

He plops down over a bar stool and waits for his order, not quite noticing a certain Phantom leaning against a nearby wall.

I was just taking a gander around the comms I'm following because I'm in a Sadiq mood~ turkishsurprise November 4 2011, 03:34:28 UTC
(ooc: And then, a wild Crissy appears! I'm doing pretty gooood :D Procrastinating, but my weekend starts today so WHATEVER. Youu?)

Sadiq's eyes rolled towards the voice, typically finding the behavior to be annoying. Not that he was never rude himself...

Personally, Sadiq was finding the party boring, minus the occasional lady with nice legs strutting on by in a revealing costume. He didn't socialize much, and when he did, it didn't often end peacefully. If he did recognize someone, Sadiq likely wouldn't go out of his way to say hi. Gilbert was among the few that he knew there, though they couldn't be considered that good of friends when they had only spoke in passing a few times.

Fuck, he had nothing better to do. The older man strolled over easily and sat beside the other, finishing his scotch and gruffly requesting another. "My treat."

(ooc: Yaaaay~ I'm all right too. Fresh from submitting a resume so I feel entitled to some relaxation now)

Gilbert and Sadiq aren't really close, but they've been around each other long enough that they couldn't possibly mistake each other for anyone else. Well, Gilbert couldn't. Sadiq's pretty distinct in his point of view. That height, that voice, that mask--who else could it be despite the fancy threads?

"Türkei." The Prussian ex-Nation acknowledges him with a bit of a smirk just as he gets handed his glass of beer. "You're here too?"

(ooc: Oho, a resume. Good luck <3)

Gilbert is pretty average, yep. Or Sadiq would like to think so (in reality the answer was no, Gilbert was a pretty unique fucker). He was hard to miss in that little getup.

"That's where I'm from, yeah," he snorts dismissively, tipping his glass back. The scotch burned his throat on its descent, but it was a warm feeling that he was accustomed to. "What are you supposed to be anyway, a kitten?"

(ooc: Thanks! :D)

"A kitten?" Is the Turk blind? Is that mask of his obstructing his vision? It probably is because where have you seen a kitten that looks like he does?! Gilbert snorts in protest. "Does a kitten have a tail like this?" A hand pulls around to show him the tail. "Awesome wings?" He twists a bit to show him the wings. "And horns like this?" Yep, pointing up at the horns on his hoodie. Definitely not a kitten. Nope.

I miss Gilbert. AND YOU turkishsurprise November 4 2011, 05:49:45 UTC
"Oh, so you're some kind of devil kid," he replied evenly, though a grin twitched at the corner of his lips. Sadiq hid it by turning his chin away somewhat and gazing at the crowd instead. "Fitting."

Maybe it was the scotch, but hey, the costume didn't look totally awful he supposed.

Another snort at that comment though this time he's amused. "Ya think?" He asks with a chuckle before taking a swig of his beer. Crimson eyes take in the clothes Sadiq is wearing. "And the Hotel got you a costume that went along with your normal dress code..."

Sadiq's costume hardly looks like a costume since he still has his mask on. It's just nothing new.

At least Gilbert was aware that he was a little shit.

Sadiq glanced over at Gilbert from the comment, initially rather confused. Eventually he just let out a long, exasperated sigh and leaned back, arms folded over his chest. "Whuzzat supposed to mean?"

There's a pause where he rolled his eyes and clicked his tongue. "Don't tell me you've been checking me out."

Nah, Gilbert isn't delusional. He definitely knows he's a little shit and he thinks it's pretty awesome.

"Your mask, idiot." The Prussian responds, nodding towards the direction of Sadiq's face as he did. "It's part of your normal getup so that's not much of a costume."

And that comment earns Sadiq a laugh because shit. "You wish." Sharp teeth flash in that wide, shit-eating grin. "You're not my fucking type!"

"Ah." Oh that. Sadiq forgets it's there half the time, really. It's just another extension of his body. Regardless, he lifts his hand to pointlessly adjust the mask and brushed his nose with his index finger. Sadiq snorted. "Sounds t'me like you're pretty fond of it."

Honestly. Gilbert didn't need to get so defensive about it. Sadiq was just being a douche, as usual. "Tall, dark, and handsome isn't your thing?"

The mask is a part of Sadiq, it's true. Gilbert's hardly ever seen him without it. "If you wanna think that then fine, whatever." Gilbert says with a bit of a smirk, eyes on his glass of liquid gold. "I bet you look weird without it on anyway."

A douche is right, but he's kinda entertaining. He makes Gilbert snigger, leaning on the bar a bit with his elbows, crimson eyes narrowed over a devilish smirk. "Dream on, Sadiq, dream on..."

Correction: Gilbert has never seen him without it, and he likely never will. Sadiq got the comments often that he was hiding something on his face by wearing that mask, so Gilbert's little jab had little effect. "If by weird ya mean different. Use your imagination 'r something."

And what was that smirk about? Sadiq watched him for a moment with raised eyebrows as Gilbert leaned easily against the bar. "Well is there any reason you're not out there dancing with some girl?"

preussen_ore November 5 2011, 00:26:56 UTC
"Hm?" Well, if Sadiq wanted the smirk to disappear, he did the right thing by asking that. In turn, he gets a blink and Gilbert taking another swig of beer. Sadiq has to bring up girls doesn't he?

"Nah, no reason." He answers. "Just haven't seen anyone interesting, that's all..."

Sadiq glanced out at the crowd for a minute, considering Gilbert's comment. Among the girls showing off their skimpy costumes and lavish dresses, he really couldn't fathom how another male might find them "uninteresting." Just a few feet away was a woman in heels, sporting a large bust barely covered by her top. He couldn't tell if she was another devil, or a cheap prostitute.

"'At so?" He leaned his elbow on the bar, temple resting on his knuckles. Watching Gilbert on edge as he gulped down his beer was amusing. "Or is it just that you've already been shot down too many times in one night?"

"Shot down?" Another snort, another swig of beer. "I was not shot down! What'd make you think that?" Pretty and sexy girls are everywhere in the party, sure, and Gilbert's pretty sure he could snag one or two if he put his mind to it. He can be a charming motherfucker when he wants to be.

And besides, you'd have to actually make an effort to pick up girls to get shot down. He's just... Not in the mood.
