It wasn't enough to suddenly be in yet another strange hotel room, oh, no, he had to be naked as well. Ky was peripherally aware of another person, although he didn't look at them to determine anything like age, gender, and whether they were naked as well ( Read more... )

While had been fortunate in waking up with clothes, she felt self conscious nonetheless. After all, the attire that had been provided for her left little in the way of imagination, and only emphasised the point of their entrapment more.

As she finally dared herself to look at Ky, though keeping her eyes to at least shoulder level, she bit her lip on seeing the attempts to open the door. This scenario wasn't a first for her, so naturally had expected as much. Even so, she felt bad at the sight of the other occupant of the room trying to leave, which only worsened on seeing his frustration.

"Well, that's not a new trick for this place." she sighed, though obviously sympathetic, but unsure of how exactly to bring up the obvious escape route. For the moment, she would settle on easing the awkward tension, smiling softly and offering a friendly hand. "At the very least, we don't have to be strangers during this. My name's Amelia, what's yours?"

Ky kept his eyes respectfully on her face while he shook her hand, although he jerked his hand back from the contact after a brief moment. It felt too intense, everything felt too intense. "Ky. It might be best if we kept our distance from each other."

With that Ky moved towards the closet, looking for clothing in there without any luck. He'd like to get something on, although he wasn't resorting to a blanket from the bed just yet.

She had planned to say more, but was cut short as Ky moved away in order to search for something to wear. While she respected his logic and appreciated that he wasn't just taking advantage of the situation, Amelia still felt uneasy. How long would the restraint last with the amount of aphrodisiacs being put in the air right now?

"Can I help you at all?" she asked, keeping her distance as he requested for the moment. After all, she did not wish to force this either.

Ky had some practice with restraint, at least, even if he was fairly susceptible to the aphros. He wasn't sure what to say in response to her question, other than 'Don't have sex with me' and 'Have a less attractive voice', neither of which he was remotely going to say.

"Nothing beyond what you're doing now." He leaned against the closet door, inhaling deeply and letting the aphro wash over him for a second so he knew how much of it he was dealing with.

Staring a moment longer, she turned to the bed, picking up the blanket and folding it over her arm, before offering it to him. Amelia still kept herself a good arm's length away though, not wanting to push too hard.

"I don't mean to dismiss the valiant effort you're putting in, really. However...how long do you think we'll be able to prevent this?" she enquired, voice gentle, clear she was trying to help in some way, even if the truth of the matter wasn't a pleasant one.

Ky took the blanket and wrapped it around himself, staying leaning against the door where he stood. His eyes fixed on the door, reminding himself of their plight with it.

"As long as necessary," he said. "I won't be a pawn of this place, nor will I make you into one."

"I appreciate that." she replied, offering a small smile, pausing as she mulled over how best to broach the subject that needed to discussed. There didn't seem to be any way to phrase it without implications, or make it sound like she was eager to participate in the scenario. Still, in weighing the options on previous occassions, Amelia knew exactly how she had come to feel about these situations. It was best to be honest, surely.

"I'm afraid that the eventual outcome won't be much different, knowing how persistant this place is. That's why I feel that...if such things have to happen, I'd much rather it be my own decision, to be able to judge and feel by my own feelings, not based on desperation brought on by aphrodisiacs." she explained, glancing at the floor, rubbing her bare arms. Honestly, she feared looking back for worry of what his expression would show.

"My decision and my feelings are that I don't wish to give into the hotel's whims." Ky pinched the bridge of his nose. "No offense meant, I'm certain you are a lovely woman I would enjoy sharing a meal with at some point, but outside of the aphros, I don't really have any desire to have sex with you. I don't know you at all."

"My apologies that you had to be stuck here with me when our wishes don't align."

"I don't either, and I know what you mean. Unfortunately I've been in this scenario before, and I'm afraid it's not hard to see the outcome. Still, I count myself fortunate to be with someone who isn't simply using this to their advantage." she reassured him, relieved that at least she hadn't given the worst impression.

Moving back and perching on the edge of the mattress, she smiled at Ky, innocent and natural. Really, Amelia couldn't hide alterior motives even if she ever possessed any. While situation was far from ideal, she would try to make the most of it, and help her companion as best she could. "We can wait and see what will happen, but for now, if it helps, I'd be happy for us to get better aquainted."

Ky was conflicted about his physical attraction to her, but grateful for the blanket, even if he was so far erection-less.

"If you wish," he said, countering the sexual tension in the air with a colder tone than he would take otherwise. "I'm given to understand that some of us come from different worlds. Would you care to talk about yours?" He focused his blue eyes on hers again, natural himself.

Perhaps fortunately for Ky, Amelia never really thought of herself as attractive, a naivety that still prevailed despite having spent several months in the hotel. The downside was that, while not trying to be alluring, there was a chance of it occuring accidentally. For the moment, with the casual nature of the conversation, that was unlikely to happen.

It was also lucky she paid no mind to his tone, wanting to assume the best in the new aquaintance until proven otherwise. Considering his behaviour so far, she felt he was a fairly noble person, making her smile all the more.

"You're fairly new I take it, not being familiar with certain aspects of this place yet?" she asked gently, before answering him. "But yes, I've found some people are surprised when I have to explain that in my home world, there's a great landscape of different places, rich in magic and sorcery."

"Fairly new, yes," he agreed. Not so new as he would like to be, which was new enough to not be here at all.

"I think there are different places everywhere. Although I suppose magic might not have been harnessed in all of them." Ky let his thoughts drift to I-no when Amelia started talking about sorcery, because the witch was overly sexed up, but pretty much the least sexy thing Ky actually knew.

"On my world, we did so quite some time ago, although it led to a long war. My personal specialty is electricity and lightning magic."

"I'm sorry, I know how hard it to adjust to this." she spoke in a comforting tone. After all, before her arrival at the hotel, the notion of sex was the farthest thing from her mind, where as now one was aware of it nearly all the time.

"That does seem to be the case, sometimes I've heard it either doesn't exist, or is kept hidden." she mused, still finding the notion odd considering how integral sorcery was to her own life. After all, she lived in the capital city for white magic at home. Even with it's protection though, it had come close to being destroyed a few times.

A small frown crossed her features as she listened to Ky, almost wishing to reach other her hand to express some form consolment, but still wished to obey his request for personal space. "I'm sorry, I can only imagine how hard that must have been to endure. Still, that sort of magic is hard to control, you must be very skilled. I've picked up a bit of every sort, though white magic is what I'm best at."

Ky would have been surprised at any offers of physical consolation and even the verbal ones left him a little flustered. "Everyone was enduring the same sort of thing," he said. "My parents died, but then I became a Holy Knight. And then the war ended." While Ky was the commander of the Holy Knights, but it wouldn't do to make it sound like all the credit was his.

"I use my sword to channel the electricity. It's rather one-of-a-kind. I hope that it and my clothes are still somewhere reasonable. I've never heard of white magic before, what is it?"

For the moment, Amelia didn't pay mind to how her words might have got Ky flustered. After all, to her, she was simply being honest in wanting to help in some way with that must have been a harsh experience. Still, it sounded like he overcame his adversities, and that made her smile warmly. "I'm sure they are very proud of you wherever they may be, doing so much to stop other suffering ( ... )

"Interesting," he said. "Although it seems a little counter-intuitive to divide things up like that, as everyone I know is capable of both defensive and offensive magic."

"There are five different kinds of magic, as we see them. Fire, lightning, water, wind, and ki. I suppose that those are self-evident enough. My sword is one of the eight fragments of a Magic Chord Amplification device. It served as a counter to the Gears. They were who the Holy War was against."
