A masquerade ball of all things. Oh well. The war was over and he really didn't think Death Eaters would do something quite this elaborate to kill him. At least there was whiskey and plenty of it. Things always seemed far more amusing after a few straight drinks.

With her Gryffindor courage strong Charlie zigged and zagged her way over to the black and silver dragon, hating inwardly admitting that Willie and Perce were right about her only love being dragons or anything dragon related.
"Not really your scene either?" She asked the red haired stranger before also asking the bartender for a whiskey but with a little dash of soda water in it.

"I'd much rather be back at work." Surrounded by fields and mountains. Not...glamour and whatever that woman had on her head.
He stared at the lady passing with what seemed to be an entire garden of orange flowers on her hat.

He paused a bit. He had no idea if this girl was actually a muggle or not. The cloths were fairly common for both societies but he was rather curious.
"What sort of work do you do then?"

Charlotte was having the same problem as he was and it took her a couple of seconds to think of a vague enough answer that would appease both a muggle and a wizard.
"I work on a reserve looking after a dangerous endangered species." Though in hindsight her answer probably just led to more questions.
